This review is in response to Annie Meade's 1 star review of Wolf Bay Lodge. I"m not sure why Ms. Meade continues to visit Wolf Bay Lodge if she has had "years of poor service" but I'm glad that she has finally decided it will be her last. Wolf Bay Lodge is a destination on Lake Vermilion. Go there any hot summer day and you will see just how popular it is. Like all small businesses, they have been through an extremely difficult year. For Ms. Meade to leave a poor review because she couldn't take her dog on the property and because the dock attendant was wearing a t-shirt that didn't align with her beliefs is childish. Her review reminds me of the Main Stream Media. It leaves out important information for the reader that doesn't paint the full picture of the day she visited. What she neglected to mention is that after the dock attendant responded that he didn't care about her comment regarding his shirt, she verbally attacked him with vulgar language related to his t-shirt and told him that "everyone has an opinion but yours is wrong". He then asked her if she was finished and she went off on him again with more profanity. When she finally left, she held up both middle fingers and said some more inappropriate language to him. I don't know what is going on in Ms. Meade's life but I will pray for her and that whatever it is that makes her life so miserable gets better. The owners and employees of WBL are hard working and many of us "rednecks" (and even non rednecks) enjoy what WBL has to offer. If you would like to visit a fun place on LV, give WBL a try. One last thing, Ms Meade, it is ok for someone to have an opinion other than yours. Try to open your mind and heart and think about what you say before you say something inappropriate to another person. There are plenty of people who think your opinion...
Read more2 stars because the boat boy was working super hard and helpful. Pretty lame after that. Beautiful Friday evening in late July. Waitress served us a couple drinks leaving us both wondering if there was any booze in with the mix. After that proceeded to tell us that the cook was too busy to make any more dinners. This was at 5:30pm on a Friday night. There were a few people inside and 5 tables outside. Boats kept rolling up as we left to find out the same fate. We headed to The Landing and got a great dinner and great drinks. Ran into another group who told us they had the same experience and left the Wolf for the Landing. Pretty incompetent management. Hard to believe you can pay a boat boy and 3 waitresses and don’t have a way to make...
Read moreThey said it was too hot to cook, so they just had pizzas or a cold roast beef sandwich, nothing else. No potato chips of any sort, and refused to make a side salad as they repeated it was too hot to cook (a salad). A sandwich only, one lonely sandwich alone on the plate. We were the only ones there and had an impossible time getting the waitress to take an interest in coming back to get our order and drinks freshened, then wandered off again when we needed to pay so we could leave. Extremely poor service, and the choice of one single cold bloody rare sandwich. Really sad and a total waste of time going there. Oh, and they don’t allow dogs on their property either. ...
