Lobster roll comes with chips and coleslaw. Chicken tender plate comes with tenders, fries, coleslaw.
I called in my lunch order today that I had written down in front of me. I ordered a large lobster roll and tender plate. I told the woman how much my significant other and I love their cole slaw and to make sure I got the 2 that comes with the order. Lady on the phone said ok. I also asked for a side of buffalo and ranch, she told me to just ask for it when I picked up my order. I'm not sure why she was not able to write it on the slip? Picked up the order and returned back to work. Lobster roll did not have the chips but looked great, went to the second meal looked good BUT no coleslaw. Went to the little brown bag hoping they put it in there.....nope. I paid $45 dollars so I figured i'd call and make sure it wasn't a huge difference. I talked to the same person who I placed the order with I explained what had happened she said ok and was going to talk to the owner. She then came back on the phone and told me I said no chips and it was there fault for forgetting one of the coleslaws. I had my written order right in front of me, I only have 1 hour for lunch I did not say no cole slaw she swears I did. 1 hour for lunch means i'm not going to mess up the order i have. I told her that she is incorrect, she was trying to battle me. I cut her off and explained that the customer is always right and they can keep my money. I cant believe an older woman was trying to battle me on the phone especially when i had everything written right in front of me. Not sure if ill return as this left a real bad taste in my mouth with the dry chicken tenders. That's not how you treat returning customers who are paying a lot of money for food. Respect has been lost. P.S. I have worked in restaurants my whole life...there is always a karen but that karen is always right no matter what. Read moreOrdered the scallop plate with half onion rings and half fries. It was like... $25. Expensive? Sure. But it's seafood, not a bag of Chicken McNuggets. It was in the ballpark of what I expected to pay. I haven't done seafood in literally years.
I sat in my car to wait, in air conditioning, because it was super hot out. My order was ready before I knew it, and, because my car window was closed, the girl that took my order waved to me from the order window to let me know my plate was ready. She let me know that there was one container of tartar sauce, and verified that was sufficient. She didn't just assume. Awesome.
The cole slaw and tartar were in a separate bag. A lot of places will put that stuff with the hot food, and by the time you get home, the cold items are warm and gross. These guys knew better. Much appreciated.
I arrived home in ten minutes, and unpacked everything, and it was amazing. Great portion sizes of everything. The fries and o-rings were crispy and hot, and the scallops were tender, sweet, and flavorful. I barely touched the tartar. That's how good they were. The cole slaw was cold, crunchy, and creamy.
I don't normally post reviews for anything. If I do, it's typically a sentence or two. The fact that I felt strongly enough to take ten minutes out of my day to write a several paragraph long blurb about my fantastic, friendly experience at DDDB should speak volumes. 6/5. Will...
Read moreUnfortunately we had a very poor experience on sunday We have been there maybe 5-6 times. Mostly for ice cream but once for food. Seafood was tasty. No complaints there. My son ordered for the both of us( I have mobility issues, pain etc and he stepped up to help out.) He came back to my truck, proud as can be. He reported what he ordered and that he had "tipped them 25 dollars". At first I was surprised but he's seen his dad be generous so it made sense. I asked him to ask for a few things to be added to my ice cream. My fault I guess. The girl at the window attempted to charge us 2.50 for some addition peanut butter sauce and whipped cream. I over heard this and was very disappointed. I told him to forget it that we would leave. Just then the ice creams came out. I said ok grab them. Let's go. The lady next to us in the fridge pickup shared my frustrations. The kicker part is they ran the cc for the extra toppings when we didn't get them. Petty theft. I called a few days later. Unfortunately the way the "manager" spoke to me was very disappointing. She seemed very disinterested in listening. She offered to refund the the money if I could provide the card information. It was out in my truck. They ran my card without a signature. They should be able to refund the money likewise. I may seem stingy or petty but the way ppl treat one another has changed.
