The Place The Old Mill Tavern is located in Sheridan, Illinois not to far off RT71 and by the Fox river. This is an authentic... old country restaurant complete with yesteryear memorabilia, plastic table cloths and even has an old fashioned claw arcade game.

The Menu/Food The menu is your classic bar menu featuring some breading recipes from the 40's. Lets face it, not everyday do you see a menu offering a complete liver or gizzard dinner. I've been at the tavern for several of their nightly specials including the Tuesday Night Steak Fry and Wednesday Taco Night. There are also several all you can eat specials. The Steak Fry is fun and the food was good. The taco salad is good and the taco's are as well.

The Experience/Service/Value This is a great change of pace place. Our service was a little slow but it was steady. I ordered a mixed drink and there was no complaining about the pour. You can't beat the value!! ...

Fish Fry very good. Fresh oil. Must see around Christmas. Fantastic decorations. The back of the bar is a large village scene that covers the entire back of the bar.
