The season just started and we have went three times and each time we received our order wrong. Atleast one of us always orders a Hawaiian flurry and each time was different. It came without coconut and had peanuts, which I am allergic to, so I ended up having to throw mine out. This last time it had zero fruit and was literally made with only syrup. I paid $11.00 for 2 flurry’s that ended up being syrup vanilla ice cream. I did return those. Not to mention their larges are the size of mediums & mediums are the size of small, yet you pay as if your getting a lot more. When I brought them back up to the window, the guy who made them ignored my knocks on the window as if I wasn’t there. Finally the female from behind came around and had to take care of his screw up because he was too lazy to do his job. I will no longer take my family to this establishment, it comes down to laziness. They have high school kids running it who don’t care about customer service. I could bring up the fact I was the only person there, out of a very large line, of color. I watched other people receive flurries made with no problems. But I won’t go there, I’ll strike it up as...

They're portions are decent. Not too big, not to small. Their prices are a little high for the portion size. I waited for 10 minutes while I watched 3 employees wander back and forth between the windows behind the counter, all 3 looked at me and didn't acknowledge me at all, aside from making eye contact and giving a little smirk. After ordering my cookie dough flurry I waited another 5 minutes, even though I was the ONLY customer that had ordered in the last 15 minutes. It was not very good. The cookie dough had been blended into the ice cream instead of being in chunks, so the whole thing was kind of a vanilla ice cream and cookie dough paste. They do have plenty of seating and a play area for children that's pretty fun. They also offer a lunch/dinner menu which I cannot review as I have not purchased or eaten any of the items on the menu. That is the only reason I rated 3 stars instead of 1 because they're ALWAYS busy so SOMETHING has to be good there, maybe the lunch/dinner...

Ice cream was ok for real... Not the best ever. But it's a good little spot right down the road from Hoffmaster.

However, it was my experience here that kicked my rating down.

The girl that ran my card, couldn't get my chip to read, so she tried it rather quickly 5 times & it kept failing, so she decided to swipe it 3 more times after I told her to quit after the second time, so she didn't lock up my card... She said, "do what?" And decided to swipe it again.. then after her machine rejects my now locked card, she says, "ay yo card declined" & hands it to me with a look of disapproval.

So my GF paid for the ice cream & as I sat eating my average treat, I spent the next 20+ minutes on the phone with my Bank's fraud center to get my card unlocked. I had to explain what had taken place, so that I didn't have to order a new card due to this employee's negligence.

I wish I could say I enjoyed my ice cream, but with that stress.. I...

This is the kind of ice cream institution I hope lives on forever (minus the clown at the pick-up window; the clown is creepy). I stopped here for my first time after a September swim in the lake at Hoffmaster State Park. When I spotted the ice cream cone with sunglasses lit up in neon on my drive to the park, I knew I’d be returning for some soft serve and a dose of late summer nostalgia. I’m still not exactly sure what a Flavor Burst is, but I sampled the green apple and was pleased with the kelly-green color of my swirl. They were out of the “famous BBQ” advertised on the building, but the chili cheese fries were a solid substitute after the beach. I will definitely be back to try more ice cream options. 4 stars because service was a bit slow for how few customers there were at this point in the year.

We were in line a long time, and when we got to the front, I knew why, the gal taking our order was hand writing our order one by one and then making the items, one by one, then moving to the next customer. It was a lengthy time. Maybe not the best process. Most ice cream places, have someone taking orders and someone making ice cream. Makes it go smoother. I got a sundae and subbed cherry chocolate ice cream for the soft serve vanilla. I also added sprinkles. It was good, just wish it was faster. Also, I wanted a brownie sundae but they didn’t have brownies, so that was a bummer. They had a playground but it was too dark for our kids to play, and it took too long in line to want to have them play.

We come to this place when we are camping in Hoffmaster State Park. Kids love it and so do we. We really like their sandwiches (Cuban sandwich) and mush room & Swiss burgers. Kids always get ice creams. Staff is really nice. The highlight of this place is a backyard with playground picking tables, hammocks. Good option for families. There is always many people. The place feels to me a little like old school America (I’m a foreigner).
