Houston Pub — Restaurant in Norton

My review is based on large group events, e.g., holiday-work parties, reunions and the like as I haven’t made the trip out here to visit the actual restaurant/pub during regular hours. However, I have heard wonderful things from friends and family. It is always clean, I am assuming here but if their food is in-house catered, it gets the job done. Staff is always friendly, helpful and are never idle by any means which is refreshing to see a motivated team working diligently. My only complaints are: A.) banquet/dining hall layout: I understand space constraints however, when people are sitting, or during the winter months coats are also on the back of the chairs, that’s an additional 2’-3’ maybe 4’ into the aisle way. Which there’s actually no clear indication of a true aisle which would free up congestion. Current set up would be difficult for those with limitations, depended on devices such as walkers or wheelchairs or any ADA compliance devices. B.) the parking lot is a disaster and if it hasn’t happened yet, someone will get hurt out there. The lack of clarity for parking spaces, let alone non marked, uneven surfaces.

Those are my only concerns, from observation because of safety. I am not trying to detract from the positive experiences I have had here at Houston Hall and despite those concerns, I would still recommend it for a...

Tried this place for the first time earlier this week. While it may not look like anything special from the outside, it’s definitely a place to checkout!

Inside the place is clean and inviting. We were promptly directed to seat ourselves. The server was quick to approach the table with menus and to take our drink order.

The menu offers any options and there are daily specials listed on a chalkboard. I opted for the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. OMG! the roast beef is to die for!!! It was very tasty, lean, and not “stringy” like it is a so many other places. Plus the mashed potatoes and coleslaw, both homemade, were very good as well.

The pricing is very reasonable. I will definitely be returning again.

Very VERY pleasantly surprised! I was on a hunt for a good cheeseburger: Five Guys was closed and Wing Warehouse’s grill was down, so I drove 2 minutes down the road here!

Never heard of it, but I’m so glad I stopped in. The atmosphere is very homey, but also very clean. The bartender was very kind and always one step ahead. The food was great and reasonably priced even without ordering the daily special. The Sunrise Burger with the smash patties, fried egg, potato patty, and bacon jam was a great flavor combo and prepared very well. Fries were fried just right too.

I will definitely be returning. This will be replacing Sheetz as my new favorite place to stop...
