FOOD was Fried to a crisp after waited 20 min at the register for a to go order was Great food and big portions…. Place has changed took 45 min on a to go order they said would take 15 min. Place wasn’t even half full. Then got home and it’s burnt. Maybe it’s just me but a pre portioned chunk of meat and some fries shouldn’t take more then 10 min tops… kitchen staff needs some training

We stopped for dessert on our long car ride. An old establishment but full of people. The pie options were tremendous on a Saturday night! Fruit pies, cheesecakes all looked homemade. We had cherry cheesecake and strawberry rhubarb - both amazing! The prime rib looked fantastic as well as the prices. Service was fast and friendly. We’ll stop again when we get the opportunity!

Cute little down home cafe with great food and great service, Abbey served us and made sure our needs were met. I had a vegetarian omelette with beef and it was delicious and stuffed full, my mom got eggs bacon and crispy onion hash browns. Everything was cooked to perfection and the whole place is friendly! Thank you kindly from Texas for the amazing fare!!

We stopped here while passing through. We decided to go here instead of sonic because of the reviews being great. So far the biggest regret of our vacation. The only thing I can say was good was our waitress. She was very freindly. First problem we ran into after we ordered our food they came back about 10 mins later to let us know they were out of our daughters food. The waitress was really sorry about that she said the kitchen didnt let her know till then. The next problem was the biggest was the food. We are pretty sure the reason we had to stop every little bit to let my kids use the bathroom for my kids to throw up in or explosive diarrhea that hit my son was because of the food. I felt bad because he almost couldnt make it to the bathroom while waiting in line. Sitting in puke to use the bathroom is no way a kid should have to spend his vacation. The turkey for my son club sandwhich was hard as a rock and smelled bad. Which he didnt tell us till half way though his sandwhich. My other kids got the fish sticks. My daughter didnt touch hers so we gave them to my other son. Which he also got very sick. I do reget not listening to my gut when i heard the waitress say to another customer that the two people in the kitchen was why it was so backed up and that the one shouldnt belong there at all. I wonder now if that person she said shouldnt be in there doesnt understand food safety but beware of the food if it comes out and doesnt look like you should eat it...

The 2nd part of this review is from over 4 years ago. Today, Nov 1, 2024, we went back and were so surprised. There have been changes, noticeable updates. The restaurant was clean, and besides the menu there was a pork chop buffet with real mashed potatoes, gravy, cooked spinach, cooked carrots, a salad bar with a wide array of choices besides the expected tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, etc, alsovbeets, olives, even deviled eggs. Everything was delicious and the service was great even though it was very busy. We were amazed all that was only 9.95, and at the end our server told us ice cream was included. I changed my 3 stars from years ago to 5 stars today. We will return! Early 2020: I read most of the reviews before we tried this place (the only breakfast in town, & we'd been camped a week in freezing rain at the state park, wanted a hot breakfast). Unlike some reported, the service was good. The s&p and sugar containers weren't grossly filthy (they must have read the reviews)...but I wouldn't touch the handle on the window blinds, it was hard to just see that, & have the stomach to eat. On a plus note, they let me sub pepper jack for American cheese in my omelet. But the hash browns (& I love hash browns) tasted like rancid grease. So my report is, it's not terrible, but they still need to clean things...

If you want highway robbery then stop here. Ran out of the fried chicken. Only Got 3 pieces of overcooked chicken for family of 5 complained but still charged over $40. Would not give discount. They didn't tell anyone they sat after us eithrr yat they wouldn't replenish the chicken. Fish barely cooked and not good. I had salad. Didn't finish because dressing wasn't good. Baby wouldn't eat mashed potatoes because they weren't good. Had to argue that we shouldn't pay full price. Nothing was good. Only fair. Now we have to go get food somewhere else because only thing kids would eat off that buffet was the chicken. 0 stars is not an option. Dirty bathroom and floors. Only thing ok were 3 deviled eggs. Other out of town couple also upset because they paid...
