Nieces & Nephews introducing The Pit Pie! Norwalk’s Ohio Hidden šŸ’Ž! #pizza #cheese #hiddengems

This review only reflects on the pizza. I decided to get pizza here because of another person’s review, stating the pizza was ā€˜authentic New York pizza,’ or something to that effect. Being from NY and dying for real pizza, I decided to give it a shot. The two stars is NOT because it was NOWHERE near NY style pizza. There were other issues. I got a large chicken, bacon, ranch pizza. I thought ā€œfor only $18, that’s not bad.ā€ As you can see in the picture, a large is only 13-14ā€. Most places, that’s a small. Maybe a medium. Secondly, no ranch dressing. So that was a bust. Third, the pizza felt more of a bread consistency, like sandwich bread. If that’s how you like your pizza, power to you. This is the place. I prefer a good bite to mine, and it should be able to be folded in half and support its own weight without breaking. Fourth, very salty. I did appreciate that they used decent sized pieces of bacon, and I’m never one to shy away from salt, but this was very salty. I’ll admit, I did eat it all. I was very hungry and paid $18. Not about to throw out ok food. My hunt for legitimate NY style pizza within Ohio continues. Definitely not from here.

You can't go to Norwalk without stopping in to the best pizza in town! We stopped in for a few days to visit our ole stomping grounds and we had to go. It was really warm in there, with a breeze of cool air every once and again, it was a bit uncomfortable. Maybe it was always like that? šŸ¤” It's been many, many years since my husband and I have visited. No matter, the food was delicious. Fried pickle chips āœ”ļø garlic cheese bread āœ”ļø and two pizzas, one green pepper and the other pepperoni šŸ¤ŒšŸ»Delicious!! You've gotta stop in. You won't be disappointed or leave hungry! Thank you for bringing back great memories.

The Pit Pie! That is all that needs to be said! It's incredible! We drive an hour to get it and any time we are even remotely close to it we will swing by to get this pizza! It's top 3 best pizza I have ever had! The pit pie is basically a pizza with a thin crust on top, basted in garlic butter and cheese, and cooked like a pie! Get the garlic butter on the inside and top and you won't be sorry! The prices are a little high but it's a great locally owned business that has carved its own niche in the saturated pizza market! I tried this place on a whim and it has become a family staple! Try it and I bet it will become a regular...
