We absolutely loved our visit to Lost Cellars in Charlevoix! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home — and the hospitality extended to our furry friend, Archie, too! The rustic charm of the space is absolutely delightful, and the experience was truly one-of-a-kind.
We tried their cocktail sampler featuring gin, orangecello, and dark rum-based drinks — all were fantastic, but the dark rum really stole the show (we ended up buying a bottle to take home!). The charcuterie board was delicious and thoughtfully curated. And the sweetest touch? The hosts surprised Archie with his very own “barkuterie” board — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture!
To top it all off, we tried their affogato with a twist — made with a splash of their dark rum — and it was absolutely amazing. Rich, boozy, and indulgent in the best way.
The hosts were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Lost Cellars is an absolute gem and a must-visit when you’re...
Read moreWhile planning a cousins camping trip to Northern Michigan a tour to Beaver Island was top on our list. With a 45 foot class A campsites are limited. We used our Harvest host to find a place for 3 days. This was how we found this hidden jewel winery Lost Cellars.
The pizza alone is worth the trip even for non alcoholic drinkers like us. The entertainment on Friday was wonderful too. We have had a really hot summer in Michigan this year so not complaining.
We did end up using our generator the whole time nonstop. It wasn't an issue here however. They have the spacious campsites far enough away that it doesn't interfere with their tasting room and area.
The owners and staff are all gracious hosts, the family story regarding the name is both sad and yet rewarding.
We personally plan to visit them again and look forward to...
