One of our uber drivers recommended this place so we went here for dinner one evening while visiting in January. There was a wait to be seated but that was honestly okay because there’s this beautiful Haiku Garden behind the restaurant. It’s like a nature trail that goes around the entire body of water that’s out there. And you can also walk out on this dock that leads to this gazebo to look out at the water. When we looked down we saw koi fish and turtles swimming around. It was so beautiful! There’s also this building kind of in the middle of all the nature that has seating inside. I suspect it’s used for weddings because the area is so picturesque. My favorite part about exploring the grounds was the large bamboo we saw. Definitely great photo opportunities to be had!
When we were seated we had a nice table with a view of the grounds below, however, it was a bit dark at that point. But that was no matter for us. We were so excited for the food because our uber driver recommended their Prime Rib. While waiting for our food, I thoroughly enjoyed sipping on my Mangorita. It was so so good! And beautiful presentation.
When our food came out, I kid you not, my husband has never laughed so hard. I couldn’t believe what was set before me! The prime rib I ordered was HUGE! Bigger than my hand! It was comical but I was like, “Well, I guess I’ll have leftovers!” Haha It was also so funny looking next to my husband’s small fish dish in comparison. Lol But I’m so glad I ordered this because it was phenomenal! The best prime rib I’ve ever had hands down. And the horseradish cream sauce was so tasty. Side note, the prime rib dinner made excellent leftovers. It was the first thing I ate the following day.
But that’s not all! I had seen a picture in a Google review of their Paradise Pie (Kona coffee ice cream, Oreo cookie crust, Belgian chocolate sauce, and roasted almonds) and had to get it. Me and my husband rarely get dessert when we’re eating out but we had to try this and I’m so glad we did! It was amazingly scrumptious and delectable. We somehow ate the entire thing! Lol
Overall, amazing place that we highly recommend people visit! From the location, atmosphere, food and beverages, and incredibly friendly wait staff, this...
Read moreWe enjoyed walking around the property enjoying the flowers, plants, chicken and the views while we waited for our table to be ready. We waited a little over an hour and a half to get the joyous text that our table was ready for us. We sat upstairs wedged in between some tables (thankfully there were only 3 of us and not a 4th person) but we had a beautiful view from our table. My 24 year old son and I told the waiter that we would be sharing the Prime Rib ($54.95) (which we had been told was too large for one person especially me) and we would like an additional plate so we could share. You could add a house salad to that prime rib for $6.95 and again we asked for a second plate as we would be splitting this as well. My husband ordered the Coconut Shrimp for $33.95. Our salad arrived with one plate. We had to ask for a second plate. Our prime rib also arrived with one plate. So much for attention to detail and making guests feel wanted and appreciated. Our water glasses remained empty for quite awhile during our meal even after asking a few times for more water. It seemed our waiter’s attention was more focused on the big table behind us. Lucky them. The prime rib was huge and was served with a container of creamed horseradish which made the prime rib even more enjoyable, a scoop of mashed potatoes and a handful of green beans and onions. The prime rib was delicious and enjoyable. The coconut shrimp was a bit bland but the sauces gave it some flavor. It was served with a scoop of rice. When we got our bill another slight was the number of guests was listed as 2 not 3. We had 3 adults in our party and no children. I had higher anticipations for this restaurant as we had tried to eat here before but due to the long wait times, we hadn’t stayed previously. All our family and friends have raved about this restaurant. Maybe if our waiter had paid attention to our table, it would have been a better...
Read moreWhat can be said that hasn’t been said before… This place is stunning. It is the single most beautiful place I’ve ever experienced a meal at. The view is just breathtaking. The food is incredible and service is top notch.
The best suggestion is to get there early. 3:30ish as they open at 4. Get in line and wait. We thought getting there at 4 would be fine but we were wrong. We ended up waiting 1 1/2 to get a table. Was that kind of wait worth it? Absolutely. For everything you eat and see, the experience is grand.
In that time of waiting, we did go down and explore the gardens a bit. There’s some walking paths that go back into the beautiful landscape and you can feel like you’re in Jurassic Park for a few minutes.
We got a seat at a bar top as we waited for our table to open up. Has a couple drinks. They are served strong so you get your moneys worth. We also got some garlic bread to hold us over. It’s was the single best garlic bread I’ve ever had in my life. They will also serve you normal bread at the table, along with amazing guava butter. It’s out of this world.
We finally sat down at the table and all the worries of waiting so long melted away. I just couldn’t stop staring out into the landscape. The views are so worth it.
The food came out and was top notch. From Presentation to taste. I got and highly recommend the teriyaki sirloin steak. I know most get the prime rib but that’s too much for me. The steak is served with a wasabi sauce that just elevates the taste so much.
We also got desert. I got the chocolate pie. It was good but wasn’t amazing. I would suggest something else.
If you’re on vacation, this is a must. It will leave your jaw dropped and it will be one of the core memories you’ll take away...
