Title: Disappointing Father’s Day Experience at Sweet Spot Cafe
I ordered donuts from Sweet Spot Cafe the day before Father’s Day—planning ahead so we could enjoy a special breakfast. When I arrived to pick up the order, there was a huge line inside and absolutely no indication of where to pick up a take-out order. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, I finally spoke to someone—only to be told I didn't need to wait in line in the first place.
Then, I waited another 5 minutes (or more), and was told that they didn’t have the donuts I ordered at all.
Key Issues: They were completely unprepared. You can’t trust ordering from their website. I planned ahead, but they weren’t ready when the pickup time came. Staff showed no apology or urgency. They seemed like they couldn’t care less about the mishap. Our Father’s Day breakfast was ruined. I brought my kids along for a special treat—and they left empty-handed and disappointed. Overall, this was not just a small inconvenience—it was a major letdown. Plan your orders carefully if you choose to go with Sweet Spot Cafe, because you might not get what you paid for. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their ordering, communication, and customer service—because this experience really put a damper on our family...
Read morewe really love the st ann location and spent quite some time enjoying their food so we were excited to try this once it opened not too long ago. it wasn't what we expected it to be so we gave it some time in hopes everything would catch up to the other locations standards. unfortunately after trying again today we were again disappointed. the girl taking our order cut my husband off to ask how many donuts we'd be ordering which was extremely rude considering he was in the process of ordering our food. she ran off to grab notebook paper to write down our order like it was an inconvenience that we decided to order four donuts again while he was ordering. the donuts were very small and being we are regular customers at the st ann location we were surprised because their SAME exact donuts are actually double the size. the icing was also hot and melted which my kids didn't appreciate. the twisted cinnamon and sugar donut was not cooked all the way through which was why we waited so long to try again being the donuts were never cooked all the way through when we had tried twice before shortly after opening. i don't think we would try coming back again after the experience it's been now three times. i have to say that the st ann location puts this...
Read moreTry it! You’ll like it. Something for everyone on their huge menu (including drinks), it’s clear they use fresh, quality ingredients (thick, properly-cooked bacon, real eggs), well-portioned yet reasonably priced, great fresh donuts. The staff is friendly and attentive, working alongside the owner (donning an apron), politely interacting with guests when appropriate.
They’ve only recently opened, only a matter of time until they’re bursting at the seams with a line out the door, i’ll bet. So if dining-in, it may feel cramped — perhaps a half-sized drink cooler placed either behind or adjacent to the counter might help. Great location though, that nice patio will help (when it’s not 100 degrees out).. the A/C was workin overtime to keep it cool.
Considering the food quality, I’d suggest an upgrade in plastic silverware (snapped the head off a fork, stabbing at that gloriously thick bacon), a nicer set would ‘make the food taste better’, i bet.. already got such nice plates.
