Today was my son birthday and he wanted to celebrate by going to Dennys because he loves the birthday cake pancakes. We invited a few friends and family to celebrate with us. I had called four hours ahead of our arrival to make sure that the company could accommodate a party up to 20 guest. I was assured that it would not be a problem, we showed up exactly at 6:00 pm with people coming in within 30 mins. We had ordered our food and was patiently waiting. I wasn’t until the food began to come out, there had laid the problem. Orders were coming out but not all at once there were things missing from every order that was taken. Or the food was just out right cold. There were many problems and our waitress in my opinion tried her best. What was shocking was the attitude of the manager. She was not nice to none of her workers there. Being loud with them and very unprofessional. She had continued to come to our table and give us refills in our water, when asked to refill the juices and chocolate milk she kept repeating that they were not free to refill, I told her that would not be a problem. We had to send back four different plates of food for either being cold or completely not right. It had gotten so bad that my in laws decided that they did not want any of their food because by the time it had came we had been there for almost two hours and food was still coming out wrong, slow, and cold. That is when the manager finally decided to step in and help insisting that she would remake their food and get it out quickly. To my surprise she did just that. Meanwhile there are still people who ordered before them still on food and refills. My daughter never gotten her food, my food was sent back for being cold. I worked in fast food for many years and I know when my food has been just thrown in the microwave m, especially when I’m give the same food with the same cut in the toast. As well as my sister give the same food with a bite of sausage missing. Cross contamination is still something I hope is in the food handlers guide. To put the icing on the cake, the manager was then screaming at both waitress about $200 of food being wasted. And lien I told her if the food was made correctly and served hot there wouldn’t be a problem. This has been one of the worst experiences I have even gotten coming here. I had so many celebrations at this location but I will unfortunately not be returning and spreading the word about how food, customers, and employees are treated at...
Read moreI like to give every business three strikes because everyone has a bad day. This visit ended up being strike three. We were a party of 3 and arrived at 7:45 p.m. to have dinner. Only three tables were taken in the restaurant and the people were seated. We had to stand there about 5 or 6 minutes before someone seated us. There were three waitresses talking. We considered leaving then, based on our last visit a few months ago, taking a very long time. But, after long day, we were tired and hungry and said it can't be as bad as last time. Once we were seated it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to come over. I don't know why because the other tables looked taken care of. And there was no one else in the restaurant. So, we had our orders decided when she came. Needless to say we did not receive our food until 8:50. It shouldn't did take an hour. I noticed two other couples walk-in, while we waited, and were seated on the other side of the restaurant. I say that because as we waited I went to the restroom and noticed they were enjoying their dinner already and we still had nothing after about 45 minutes of our waitress telling us there was only one cook and he was slow. So, we asked if it was even started because we would just prefer to leave then. She said some of it was done so she started bringing out what was completed after three trips we got our dinner. I'm reading the other reviews and I don't know why we keep having to wait an hour for dinner. While others had top notch service. Then our waitress informed us she was going on break and asked if we needed anything. I kind of chuckled and said can you bring me a to go container for the rest of my food that she just brought out. Then, my favorite part is when we now had to stand in line to pay. There was no one at the counter to check us out. So another 5-6 minutes. As I said, this was strike three and that's when I decided to leave a review. I'm not sure how we've lucked out with this very slow service on our last three visits but I think we're done taking chances at this location. Which is unfortunate because their breakfast is...
Read moreminutes ago Be careful to all African American Food delivery drivers who have to pick up orders from Denny’s OFallon IL location. My daughter was on a Dash at this location, and was spoken to rudely by the manager upon her arrival. My daughter informed the manager, that the comment she made to her was unprofessional and rude. The comment was that she would have the Order ready if she did not have to answer the phone for my daughter. After my daughter told the manager her comment was rude, the manager threatened to lie and call my daughters job, to report that she almost hit her with a car two days prior. My daughter told the manager that cameras are all around to dismiss her lie, and asked why would she wait two days to do so if it is true. Next the manager apologized and offered my daughter a drink, which was declined. The manager takes the order out, and my daughter informs the manager that she would be calling to report her to corporate for saying she would call my daughters job to lie and say she almost hit her. The Caucasian female manager, heavy set with dark hair felt very comfortable to say she would call a African American woman’s Job, to lie on them. Not right, Sneaky, execution of what you think is self entitlement over a black person.. why would she feel so confident that she could call my daughters job, lie, and be believed. I’m happy that reviews are allowed because this type of behavior needs to be exposed. Period... at times like this, how dare anyone to form an attack with a LIE, that in effort to make them...
