Gator's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in O'Fallon

FIRST AND LAST VISIT- I'm embarrased to even have the memory of going to such a retched place. My visit was simply inconceivable. They were so stingy with the ice cream. And as soon as they handed it out the window we could see every one of the ice creams we ordered were already melting. My sister ordered a frappichino specialty concrete, there was nothing special about it. They delivered what looked like a Wendy's frosty. It wasnt thick like a concrete and it didn't even taste a bit like coffee. It was supposed to come with whipped cream and they forgot. My Mom ordered the Snickers concrete and was so disappointed she gave it away. I ordered the Brownie Volcanoe and I felt like I was eating a dog treat. The brownie was chopped into pieces smaller than bite sized and the guy that took the order made hand signals that the dessert would be big (NEWSFLASH, IT WASNT!). As we were driving away from this disapointment all the other customers (who were ALL white BTW) made these, you shouldn't be in these parts, faces. We felt very unwelcomed and like we were rebelling against segregation rules. It was a very white water fountain and black water fountain situation. All this on Junetenth. The ignorant people who clearly feel like they'd rather have white places and black places should be ashamed of themselves. For this to be our first visit you can bet we wont be going again and will be spreading the word to...

I was the 31st of July of 2016 when we decided to go to Gators for a custard treat, and the time was around 8:45 pm. Because its getting late, we decide to go through the drive through, as this always seemed to be faster; we've been coming here for 10 years. Well, after sitting in at the drive through for 5 min, with no one to greet us, we are getting impatient. So I backed up and ran over the bell a couple of times to remind them they had a customer. A minute later a blonde girl comes to the window and the first and only thing she says is "We have a long line at the front and those customers get priority, so we will be with you soon". Without another word, she promptly shut the drive through window and walked away. It wasn't just the fact that what she was saying was complete BS; that drive through customers, who pay the same as everyone else, get lower priority...but that she was UGLY about it. Hell of a way to treat a US Armed Forces Veteran. Do not go here if you are expecting...

Prices were high, wait was long, ice cream was okay.

Have an awful taste in my mouth as I ordered a small specialty shake with an added cookie dough. Paid about $8 for it. No cookie dough present. Returned to tell them, they take my already ate out of shake to ‘add some’. After awhile I see him take a cup w shake in it to the mixer, give it a mix and hand it to me with a lid. I said ‘is this a new one?’ He responded ‘no, I just put a new lid on your old one’. I then said so you used my ate out of shake in the mixer ? He said ‘ya it’s fine we’ll just clean it off’ (the spindle that is). behind him another young man has another customers shake in a cup actively being mixed w the same exact attachment. Witnessed the whole thing happen. I wanted to vomit. They clearly had no intentions of washing it.

Made it hard to enjoy my $10 (w tip) shake....
