I’m taking this opportunity to share one example of what makes this place extraordinary. I was very impressed with how the server and managers responded with class when ‘one of those people who believe they walk on water’ exhibited bad behaviors.

This particular incident recently occurred when this pompous, self-righteous man brought his entourage to play darts on a Sunday afternoon during 3rd period of a playoff football game. The server informed him the non-electronic dart board area is closed because the space is occupied for the game. He acknowledged her existence but dismissed every word she just said. First, there were little kids playing blocks on the carpet that was a couple feet away from the board that was receiving darts. NO JOKE! Secondly, these people literally stood between our 6+ tables of football fans and the big screen - if he (and the other adults with him) didn’t care about the kids safety, blocking the our ability to watch the game meant nada.

In short, this adult, with extra rude behavior refused to leave - after management attempted to reason with him multiple times. Finally, the manager informed them they don’t want their business and returned every penny plus tips they had already dished out.

Wanted to give a shout out to Brad, Allison, and the new manager in how well they resolved this scenario and their dedication to keeping Hot Shots a welcoming, friendly, and fun atmosphere. Negative, pompous people can choose to level-up or find a different...

The staff is great...unfortunately the current management are making a bunch of changes I'm not thrilled about. Like doing last call 45min-1hr early on weekends, lying to the staff about shots (saying it's against the law to do them when there's no statute for that in illinois to my knowledge) requiring review like this to determine their worth when the ladies like peyton, nika, maria, pratana, Emily, Sara, skylar, katie. kalyn, Katelyn, in fact all of the ladies are great and the bigger draws to coming. The drinks prices are high to avg and the food is your typical bar food so the staff are the ones that brings in the business. Brock also is an amazing staff member. He personable to everyone and do his job in an exceptional and proficient manner.

3/12/2025 (cleaned up the grammar and spelling) - Well just got banned by the store manager. He tried to talk to me today when I went and I told him it wasn't a good time because I literally was going thru some personal documentation that I brought with me, and we never spoke again before he left. The next manager on duty informed me the the store manager banned me until i talk to him. The manage on duty did tell me i might be mistaken on the shot rule so i did confirm there's a law from 1936, so I will concede in that. However, to ban me in order to force me to discuss my review when only coming to me once has made decide to step away from being a patron for some time if not indefinitely until the store manger is no...

Part 2. Recently, a good friend and long time loyal customer gave a review. He did not bad mouth the staff, but did call out concerns that are issues with many of the patrons. Today, 3/11, the manager wanted to speak to this loyal and long time customer to address his concerns and see if they could be rectified. The loyal and long time customer was not able to comply at the time, due to him reviewing some work related items. So, in turn, the manager, in a pathetic attempt to show his authority, banned this loyal and long time customer from re-entering the building until he speaks to him. WOW! Reviews are supposed to be honest, and should not be taken likely. Reviews give the owner, managers, and wait staff ideas and/or concerns from the people that in fact, help pay their salary. Now, supposedly the owner wanted the manager to speak to this loyal and long time customer. While that may be true, I seriously doubt they wanted to ban him until this conversation happens. Now, I would guess that maybe 10% of the customers are going in alone, with no intention of meeting up with friends. That leaves 90% that do. So, when you ban a customer for the stupidest damn reason, you inadvertently ban even more. If this type of nonsense keeps up, Hot Shots will be in its own recession. In closing, it must be stated that this loyal and long time customer NEVER causes any problems. He's always friendly and polite to the staff, and...
