This has been our go-to JitB for several years. Last evening, and. yes, it was Thanksgiving and wanting to get out of the house and not in the mood for more turkey we decided on Jack. Relieved that it was open we got in line at the drive thru. After a nearly ten minute wait we got up to the speaker and after a couple more minutes an employee got on the speaker and announced, "We're closed". Confused since it was 7:12 which is an odd time to close and that there were cars ahead of us in line I asked why. The worker came on, curtly, and said, "What? You don't have family? and "I'm not allowed to spend time with them?" I said that we understood that, but asked why were WE the ones where the cutoff was made? Finally, in a snarky tone, he said, "Fine, what do you want?" We decided there was now ay we were going to get our food from Jack in the Box. A couple of things. If he is an employee and he's scheduled to work...whatever shift it may be. Your hours are posted. If management saw that there might be a problem, put a sign up that at 7pm (or whatever time) due to....staff shortage, holiday...whatever., we will be closed. Perfectly understandable. But that's not what happened. Alternately, he could have called his supervisor and explained the situation. And as an aside while in the military, I missed Thanksgiving AND Christmas with my family at least a dozen times so it really rubbed me raw when he said what he said. Read moreWe stopped in last night around 8:30 PM. I live several hours from any Jack In The Box and this is the first one we hit before we come into St. Louis from Illinois. We were craving loaded curly fries with the cheese sauce setup. In the past I ordered loaded potato wedges as they were specifically sold this way. When this location switched to curly fries I was still told it was no problem to sell my cheese fries but it would cost extra. I said absolutely. I have since stopped at this location Everytime we've been by it for cheese fries. I've never had a problem getting them until last night. The girl at the counter was very blunt and said no, we get in trouble when we make those and we can't. I said excuse me? If I'm paying extra then what's the issue with selling me cheese on my fries? She said we can't, we aren't supposed to do that and we will get in trouble. I said well if I had known that we wouldn't have made the trip over and stopped in for our favorite fries. We settled for chicken strips and the chicken strips were chewy and full of gristle. They almost tasted doughy as well like they weren't done. Multiple orders were purchased and everyone has the same complaint at the table. In the end we also ordered churo bites and these were doughy on the inside as well. I've never had a restaurant tell me they can't sell me cheese sauce if they sell it before. Read moreThis place has okay service occasionally. Though, I can't tell you a time recently. A night or two ago, I showed up at around 11. one car ahead of me at the order station. I waited 9 minutes before giving up. Went to the gas station and returned. Was informed they were unable to take orders, but might be able to resume again around midnight. Two weeks ago, I was in the drive thru. Three cars ahead of me. Two were pulled, and one left. Okay. So. I get to the window. I hear loud yelling and obscenities. 9 minutes I sit... no one ecent acknowledges me. (I decided to wait only because nothing else was open nearby.) So they come, take my money, and literary walk away. Wouldn't come back. I waited 34 minutes, and they came ava gave me some food. Not all correct. And most not even warm. He asked for my receipt because he didn't know my order. Checked it, gave me some more food, but wouldn't give my receipt back. I told him I needed a copy for my records, and 12 minutes later, he reprinted one. I could tell story after story, but you can get the idea. I hope and pray someone above store level notices and can bring in training and help because this is unprofessional, and no way to run a business. If you go there, be prepared to wait an undetermined amount of time, and double check your order, as it may very well not be even remotely close to what...
