Los Amigos O’Fallon IL — Restaurant in O'Fallon

I had a group luncheon with friends. Restaurant was recommended by a friend, who obviously attended before and liked it enough to suggest it as a Go To. She wasn't able to attend, job beckoned. I don't walk around camera ready, but that day, I needed to capture the looks. Looks of hunger was because I arrived last and was served first, no one said anything till I started laughing cuz of the looks. Actually I believe the reason was my meal request was simplest. Just chicken and salad. Nothing especially inviting about my meal, but based on what I observed from my Friend-Family (known one another 4ever) male& female in harmony and able to reach back to the 'do u remember when we days' meals were enjoyed by all because we dined together. Place is set away from an over-trafficked area with good parking. Place has a quaint an intimate setting for individuals or groups with excellent customer service. Only complaint was 'why did I get food first' and I explained "cuz I'm special" 😀 It really was more fun than a big deal about whose order came out first. So, we will probably be returning cuz friend who suggested wants to be there next time. Good time. Good people....

There aren’t a lot of restaurants near me with nice outdoor seating. I knew this location had outdoor seating but wasn’t aware that someone bought it and didn’t even know what type of food they sold (until I pulled up anyway). It wasn’t extremely busy when me and my husband went and, in fact, we were the only two sitting outside (which was fine with us). Walking through the restaurant to go outside, I noticed it was clean, updated and every staff member who saw us, smiled. The waitresses and waiters were all friendly and accommodating. We got our drinks and food quickly and the prices were very reasonable. As for the taste of the food … excellent!! Everything was hot and delicious. We will be going back and to anyone curious about this restaurant, you should go. I highly recommend this restaurant. Oh, and there’s plenty of parking. A win-win in my book. My wife and I just had food delivered from the O'Fallon Los Amigos, as we've done several times before. In the past, we've been very pleased, the food was well-prepared, nicely presented, and consistently delicious.

Unfortunately, this time was a disappointment. I ordered two chicken tacos with chorizo, which I’ve enjoyed before. Previously, they were flavorful and well put together. This time, however, the shells arrived broken, and the chorizo was served separately in a small container, as if the meal had been hastily assembled. The overall quality felt mediocre at best.

My wife tried something different, but her dish arrived cold, even though the delivery driver came directly to us. On top of that, the flavor and quality of her meal were also underwhelming.

We hope this was just an off day, as Los Amigos has been great in the past. But this latest experience missed the mark. Definitely not...
