One hot day I was standing in front of the stip mall this place is in waiting for the bus in the shade. I was going g to be there 5 minutes or less, because I make it a point to only be waiting for the bus on a hot day a short amount of time.
While waiting I notice im in front of moray social, a place I've never heard of before and it seems to be a restaurant and I Love to eat.
Since im waiting for the bus, I don't have etime to go in so I try to peak in to see if I can see a menu.
I'm unsuccessful the first time and while waiting for the bus about a minute later. I try one more time to peek in to see if I can get an idea of what they sell before I leave.
Immediately after that, an employee possibly the owner comes out and tells me it's creepy of me to be peeking in this restaurant and can I move along?
I'm peeking in to try to be a customer. No one has no idea what Mozay social is. And a lot of businesses post a menu on the front windows of their business. So you know that they're a restaurant and what they sell.
And how weird can you be standing there for 3...
Read moreThe current address for the Google location is completely wrong, this is at the previous location of West Bank Eats in O'Fallon on West highway 50, not regular highway 50.
I went here by mistake, not realizing that West Bank Eats was already closed. I gave it a shot, and it's not terrible but definitely not something I'll go back to. They've tried to keep the previous restaurant's menu, so they have dishes like falafel, gyro, and beef shawarma. However, these dishes are absolutely nothing like the previous location and the meat quality is absolutely abysmal. I'll give them credit, they they include very good pickled vegetables with most of the food, so I did enjoy that tremendously but it did not make up for the rest of the quality.
If this was around $10 a dish I could probably tolerate it, but for the prices they are asking this is not the quality of food you should be getting. If you want a $20 hamburger though, this might...
Read moreJust had an awesome first visit to Mozay’s Social, and I’m already planning my next! I tried the shrimp and grits, and it was a no-fuss, solid dish—the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the gravy was incredibly well-seasoned. It had just the right amount of spice—warm and flavorful without being too hot. Every bite was comforting and delicious.
I also had the mint lemonade, which totally hit the spot—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet.
What really makes this place stand out is the vibe. Roy and Kyle are genuinely welcoming and make you feel right at home. The space itself is super cool—bright, creative, and just a fun place to be. Plus, the whole no pork menu is a nice touch for folks who are mindful of that.
It’s a new spot, but it’s already giving off those neighborhood favorite vibes. Can’t wait to work my way through the rest...
