EDITED TO ADD: I received the stock response from Scooter's to the use the scooters.com/contact link. I did this back on February 3rd when I received the sandwich. I asked specifically how to obtain a refund or credit and I was never contacted. Why should I do this again?
I was very let down by my experience at the Scooter's today. I am a regular customer of Scooter's, I will put photos of my transactions to prove that. This is the location closest to my house, and I've never had an issue with them up until this. On February 3rd I ordered a breakfast sandwich and instead of putting it in the parchment paper sleeve, they wrapped it in a napkin and the napkin got stuck all over the sandwich. I tried peeling it off, but couldn't get it all and didn't eat the sandwich. I tried writing into the app about my experience and never received a response, I honestly just wanted a replacement sandwich next time I came. Nothing big, just make it right since I couldn't eat that one. I went back there a few weeks ago and asked if they could give me a coupon or something for a comped one and they said they could give me a new sandwich for free that day. It was 4 PM so I didn't want a breakfast sandwich at that time so I said I would check back in. I went this morning and tried to get a comped sandwich and was downright refused. The young man at the window told me the price and I explained to him the situation. He went and talked to the supervisor and then came back to the window and just told me the price again. I said, "so that means you're not willing to make it right with a new sandwich?" He said no, sorry. That's it. No advice on how to get in contact with someone, and the supervisor refused to come over and speak with me directly. I did not want to hold up the line behind me, so I paid and left.
I am not one to make complaints often, and all I wanted was a replacement sandwich for the one I couldn't eat, which seems reasonable to me. I was polite and totally understand of the original mistake, and just wanted a replacement of that one item. Now they will just lose my business entirely. Worth it? This is not how you...
Read moreNot impressed. $20+ on coffee that doesn't taste like what was ordered. Ordered 2 hot lattes with extra shots, can't taste the coffee at all. Ordered a butterfinger blender only to receive a peanut butter drink of some sort. The person taking orders listed the candy bars, from which I selected the butterfinger. Got to the window and was given a peanut butter crunch or something with oeanut butter. Asked the cashier about the butterfinger because the taste wasn't right was told that butterfinger wasn't an option. I reminded then of the list that had just been given to me, again was told butterfinger was not a candy bar blender option. I guess I just made that order up! I don't like peanut butter, there is a big difference between butterfinger and peanut butter. I'm not pleased and won't be back!
Update! Received the following response from Scooters today. Just know that they are selling "similar" lattes, but calling them by popular names. Bait and Switch!
Hi Kendra!
I'm sorry that you were not happy following your visit to Scooter's. Just to clarify any misunderstanding, our candy bar lattes are created to be similar to popular candy bars and we, as a company, use our own unique names for these drinks. The cashier was correct in stating that your order contained a Peanut Butter Crunch Blender. That is the name for our blender that is similar to a Butterfinger and it does in fact contain real peanut butter and our own special Peanut Butter Crunch Sauce. If a customer orders a Butterfinger, the employee on headset knows which similar candy bar latte you are looking for... that Scooter's offers. Other popular candy bar lattes include our Turtle (similar to a Snicker's bar) and our Galaxy (similar to a Milkyway).

Read moreWeâve visited several Scooterâs locations across St. Clair County, and the experience varies wildly from one to the next.
My usual go-to is a large iced caramel latte, but more often than not, itâs painfully watered downâso I end up requesting an extra shot just to salvage some coffee flavor. Itâs frustrating having to pay more just to make the drink taste like actual coffeeâŠ
Even with the extra shot, the result is consistently weak. Iâd say 8.5 out of 10 times, it comes out overly milky and lacking any real coffee punch. This time, I tried ordering it without ice to see if that was the culprit. Spoiler alert: it wasnât. What I got was a liquid that tasted like it was about 95% milk and 5% coffee.
We asked the barista about it, and her response was, âIâm not quite sure, I think our machine is just pushing more water than it needs to.â Then she just stared at us waiting for us to drive off..
When we asked if they could remake it, she hesitated and then offered another shot (of the same diluted coffee she had just admitted was problematic). We shrugged and accepted itâbut what they handed us tasted and smelled like weak drip coffee, not even close to espresso.
Itâs disappointing to see this franchise slipping into the same trap as certain other franchise coffee shopsâprioritizing quantity...
