Unfortunately, my go to Thai was closed on Monday so I decided to try zapps. I ordered for pickup and when I got there 20 minutes later, I had to wait another 30 minutes. I was annoyed, but with staffing issues I've been a bit less critical on this part..for now.
I ordered wonton soup, but they didn't have it so I got tom yum. Spring rolls, and beef salad. The Tom Yum was bland and didn't really taste 'Tom Yum'. One of the hallmarks of Tom Yum is you get sticks and leaves and grass... All kinds of little bits and pieces. This has none of that. Just a clear broth. Throw some wontons in there and I could have had wonton soup. Very disappointing. It also came with noodles which I thought was strange.
The beef salad was supposed to come with sticky rice. I got regular rice and the beef was bland also finally I tried the spring rolls. The picture showed peanut sauce but it came with sweet sauce. The spring rolls were pretty much mostly lettuce.
Overall, it was a very disappointing dinner. I won't...
Read moreGood restaurant with delicious food. Food is worth it, especially all the fried rice items. I would recommend this. Some perks…
Food is great. We ordered below… Zapp’s Thai fried rice - medium spicy, Rich of flavor. The taste is delicious. Thai fried rice - less spicy but rich flavors. Taste good. zapp Hawaii fried rice - little sweet with rich flavors. Also tastes good. pad green bean - not what we expected because of sauce, but decent taste to it. Not spicy.
FYI: We asked for medium spicy level on all. If you don’t eat spicy, go for mild. Medium is also less spicy for me as I usually eat spicy food. But they have option for hot sauces which are good especially with rice items. Hot sauce is good and spicy.
They have like few tables to accommodate around 50 people.
Service is really good.
Costs about $20 for single person if you all share the food.
Lot of free parking.
Menu is huge and everything comes with choices of...
Read moreI was motivated to eat here by the good reviews it had on both yelp and google. Unfortunately they did not live up to their reputation. These are the reasons why they’re 1/5 stars for me:
The Thai lady, could be owner could be cook, was demeaning to the young guy working the counter. She was very snide with him, telling him to take our orders as we were looking at menus to get our food to-go, after we had already talked to him. To the young guy there if you’re reading this, just quit. There’s better jobs that will treat you with more respect.
Our food was disappointingly bland. Not much flavor whatsoever, and no spice level. We ordered a spice level of 3 and it was more like a zero. Why did my wife & I need to add red pepper flakes to get any sort of heat????
Dirty dishes left on an empty table the whole time we waited to get our food. Y’all had at least 3 employees who could’ve cleaned it, but nope.
My recommendation, don’t go here. It’s...
