A cute and quaint coffee shop on the south side of Oak Creek. Hillside is a wonderful little gem set in a beautifully restored schoolhouse. Their coffee selection is quite impressive for a mom and pop coffee shop. And what's more impressive is the amazing pastry and sweet treat assortment. Everything I have had here is so light and full of flavor that you will want to come back again and again. And you will have to because their selection changes daily. Hidden gem in Oak Creek! This place is awesome! It's an old schoolhouse (historic landmark) that's been converted into a coffeehouse! It's so completely charming, from the brick exterior and creaky wood floors, to the paned windows, cozy furnishings, & old classroom pictures on the walls. While all of that draws you in, the scrumptious coffee & bakery will make you linger awhile. I believe they make a lot of their own syrups from scratch & the bakery as well. Such a wonderful spot to grab a coffee and a pastry, or freshly made breakfast sandwich. I’ve gone several times and each time the owner greets us with a smile and a cookie for each kid. They have a great fresh bakery selection - including gluten free choice! Some of the best cakes I’ve had in a long time have been from here. The barista bar is good too - I’ve had coffees and smoothies from them. They always take the time to make sure the drinks are prepared correctly, and check in to make sure you are satisfied.
