Coffee was average, not excellent Food was disappointing The menu should be updated to reflect which food is made off site by a third party and reheated in the back instead of being made to order. That way customers who prefer fresh food would know which items to order or go elsewhere. Clear communication would help new customers to avoid disappointment. For example, they should communicate to customers if they plan to substitute previously frozen food when the menu clearly says "fresh." While supply issues happen and it's totally understandable that substitutions might need to be made, why not let the customer know when they place the order so that they don't get put in the uncomfortable position of being served food they didn't want and wouldn't have ordered if they knew what to expect. Edit: owner reply-- I use and trust google reviews to find local businesses to visit, and came because of the reviews, expecting a 5 star cafe. I studied the menu and asked questions about how the food was prepared before ordering-- I even told the cashier that I did not want reheated food and asked how the yogurt parfait was made and was given incorrect information. I'm sorry she is disappointed by my three star review, but that was my honest experience. As for her suggestion to complain, ask for a manager and get a refund-- I don't like complaining to management and I never demand refunds. I do not want conflict. However I do feel it's my duty to contribute honest thoughtful reviews to Google. I'm not trying to hurt her or her business, I'm trying to help other travelers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe smallest chocolate croissant I've ever had... but it was pretty good. The coffee tastes the same as every other local place. I'm not the biggest fan of the flavor profile, but it's no worse than the competition since the competition is the same. Altitude likely has an effect on the temperature of the water used for the pull. Kate's has a better range of food.
The service is disinterested and aloof. This is probably the culture set by the owner, since it's the same no matter who serves, the time of day, or the season.
I've been in since my first review and things haven't improved. My daughter liked the bagel, but she's always happy if something has enough cream cheese. The coffee isn't any better, but the owner replied to the first draft of this review and clearly wasn't interested in honest reviews, so I wouldn't expect anything to change...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo glad we stopped here! Was a little busy around 11am Sunday but they rocked it out! Breakfast sandwich in a muffin with sausage was a win. The parfait was also praised to be good. And the iced latte was delicious and that says alot as I personally don't care for iced coffee at least from big chains. This one I'd order daily if I lived in Oak creek!! I think the owner served us.. she could've smiled!! Either way friendly service and I'd highly recommend. Sandwiches were Huge portions and well worth the prices. I'd like to stop by for lunch next time! 5-10 minute wait. $20-$30...
