This was THE WORST experience Bar None, of Any place around here! We have waited for months and months for this place, with Eager anticipation... We eat out a LOT, to support all the local businesses and love all of them! Today, we decided to take our family here for our Granddaughters Birthday and we were so excited. First of all, we had a 45min wait (not that big a deal, just a surprise for a Monday) turns out, the Wait was the BEST part of the experience...(A Lot happened, but the Highlights, to save you trouble reading every detail).... Are as follows, They Brought a Soda my 18yr old didn't order and refused to take it back, saying they won't charge for it....But they did charge for it! They screwed up his order for the Quesadilla Adults Meal and brought him half a 12in. cheese only, folded tortilla (2 triangles) and NO Beans or Rice! (Even the kids meal comes with beans and rice!!!) But they Charged $14.00 for it! Then refused to take it off, and we didn't want to wait another two hrs, the kids were tired by then...eventually reducing it to "The Kids Price" even though he Never GOT THE REST of the Meal, (rice n beans) only the 2 small triangle tortillas with cheese! Then after all left the Soda on the ticket!!! They also tried to Upcharge another drink, as they grabbed all the drinks to refill and I said is there refills on the Agua Fresca and she said YES and then I said are you sure? No charge? She then asked me what the price was on the menu? and I said I think it was 4.50? To which she said oh ya, that's what it'll be then and walked off and I had to call her back to tell her NO THANK YOU to the 2nd drink, just water please....she brought everyone at the table their refills and me NO Water! Then they said they had NOTHING to offer the granddaughter for a dessert after all that, they said they only carry Chocolate Lava cake and Ice cream at full price! She would never even begin to eat that! No dessert menu offered or other dessert discussed, idk if they have desserts or not? (also, I am allergic to gluten and my plate of 3 carnitas tacos, were on flour, so My son ate them, since his 2 cheese triangles left him hungry) over all...Horrible experience and we definitely won't be back anytime soon...I sure hope they can sort out their problems, lower their prices, raise their standards AND their Customer service! This was just not it, sadly...I so...
Read moreMostly well done for a new restaurant. Just opened a few days we decided to go to the new restaurant in town: a Mexican Steakhouse. We waited about thirty minutes to be seated as there was a crowd anxious to try the new spot. A few tables were open, yet there was clearly a shortage of staff, indicated by the “Now Hiring” banner out front as well as only a couple servers scurrying around. When we were seated I was pleased that the chairs were nicely padded and therefore comfortable. The tables seemed very close together. The menu was interesting; several Mexican standbys along with a few cuts of steak and some local favorites. I spied a mixed fajitas with queso that looked promising but ended up with a taco salad with steak. Despite being at a steakhouse I was nervous about getting steak. I tend to order filet, rare, because it remains tender and mostly manages to be tasty. I was blown away. The steak had crispy edges but remained tender and succulent. The size of the ingredients didn’t warrant recutting everything (I appreciate this!) and it was tossed in the dressing — a step too often overlooked making some of the greens overly wet while others are dry. Someone else got the fajita. They reported it to be very tasty. It also came without cheese as requested. Bonus. The three other diners were not as pleased. The chicken fried steak was on the bland side. Mashed potatoes were good though. Enchiladas Verde had a nice flavor despite the chicken being rubbery. The diner with fish tacos struggled to find the fish. The service was fine even with the delays resulting in staffing issues. Our beverages were refilled adequately. Our chips and salsa were plentiful. The disappointments were small — only Bud and Bud Lite despite a Dos Equis labeled handle on the tap. And Pepsi products in lieu of coke (my crowd’s preference). Hopefully hiring more staff will solve some challenges and time and feedback more. My vote is eliminating two tables to...
Read moreThey were busy as expected. We were seated after about a 25 minute wait and after about 10 minutes a young lady came to our table and brought the water we asked for. We ordered a chicken wing appetizer. We also ordered entrees. The wings came out in about 15 minutes and were very good. After 45 minutes of not seeing our waitress, I asked another waitress where our food was. She answered, "we are covered up with TOGO orders". Not what I wanted to hear. After about 10 more minutes someone from the kitchen brought our food. My $48 medium Prime Ribeye was just shy of raw and tough. Calling that ribeye PRIME should be a crime. The baked potato was way under cooked. The Brussels Sprouts were pretty good. When we finally saw our waitress again I asked for the check. She disappeared and we waited about 20 minutes and never saw her again. We went to the register to pay and they couldn't find our order after 10 more minutes of searching the pos system. The manager finally found our waitress and she told him what we had. I am a lifelong generous tipper. Tonight my tip was ZERO with a note : "bad service." We are debating whether or not to try eating there again. Also, I don't give bad reviews and I don't want anyone to not go there because I had a bad experience. I am also a long time certified cooking judge and one of my specialties is judging ribeye steaks. No...
