The reason we went to this restaurant is because of reviews. I wish we hadn't. We arrived around 2:30. There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our party. The 1st thing that happened was the TV was playing very non kid-friendly inappropriate rap very loudly. Don't get me wrong I don't mind loud music, but because of the lyrics it couldn't be ignored. I don't think they liked it when my husband asked them to change the station. He didn't ask them to turn it off or down. Just to change what was playing. We ordered our food which totaled $100.00. When we received our food which was in a timely manner and there was plenty of it which is why I gave them a 2 star score, 2 in our group couldn't eat it because of the spices. Even then we didnt give it back to them or ask for refunds. We paid for 2 more meals and asked them to hold the seasoning. So we actually spent well over $100.00 for the food we ordered. The issue we had besides the TV was 1. There were flies everywhere while we were trying to eat. We were told there were free refills on our drinks, and after the price of the food we ordered, we chose regular sized drinks. Well because of the heat of the food and spices we asked for several refills. After 2 refills we were cut off and were told they wouldn't refill them any longer and we had to pay for more drinks. I had to finish my meal without anything to drink. Not cool. If there was a limit to the amount of drinks we were allowed they should have told us up front. Read moreI ordered take-out from “Jax Snappers Fish and Chicken” Two times and each time there was a problem with the food. The first time I ordered the red snapper grilled with rice (there is an up-charge $1.50 for Rice instead of fries and an up-charge $2.00 for grilling the fish instead of deep-frying) I also ordered a side of calamari and a side of conch.
The snapper was grilled perfectly and delicious the rice was very good. The conch was also very good. Unfortunately the calamari was spoiled it smelled terrible and it was inedible. Seeing that the snapper with rice and conch was very good I was willing to give them a second chance.
So about a week later I ordered the grilled snapper with rice and a side of conch. Just like the first time they had an extra charge $1.50 for the rice and an extra charge $2.00 to grill the fish instead of deep-frying. This time, the cooks put my snapper in the deep fryer first and then try to grill it. I told him it wasn't acceptable that I wanted it grilled and not fried; they remade the order for me.
When I got home with the order, I found that the conch was not conch, it was clam strips. I found this odd since they don't even offer fried clams on their menu. But the Fish and rice was very good.
If I ever go back a third time, I will insist on seeing what they are cooking before they cook it and make sure it is what I order and they understand what grilling is.

Read moreI just came here to pick up a DoorDash order and the two young females who are working one of them was on their phone and waited till they finished what they were doing on their phone to assist me. Then after she put her phone down, she turned on the front lobby Camera to record me I waited there for almost 10 minutes, as they chatted back-and-forth and pausing on packing up the order making me wait there for even longer so they can have a conversation that isn’t work related. Then once they finally finished our conversation that isn’t work related whatsoever. She actually finishes tying the bag and then walks over to hand it to me. I told the girl thank you and she says “yup, can you confirm the order?” I respond with of course, and then walk out. First of all the customer service here is terrible, second of all I don’t need the store employee to tell me how to do my job. How else am I going to continue doing the order if I don’t confirm it, I’ve been doing DoorDash for years now and have never had somebody ask me if I could confirm the order. Like I felt offended as if this younger female thought I was just going to walk out with the food and eat it, which I’ve never done before, in my entire life.
