The Cove — Restaurant in Ogallala

This is my first time here. Came here on a Saturday evening, late August, to watch a band play. It was a bit busy, but not a packed house. Our waitress seemed a bit distracted compared to the others we observed. This lead to being seated first and being served last; however, everything we ordered came out great and she remembered everyone's food/drink order.

The band that evening was pretty good. Enjoyed the song selection(s) they played. There is a small cover fee to stay and watch the band, but well worth it! Fun little place to check out at the lake. 🐟

Pros: Next to lake, relaxed area, simple menu choices, Bloody Mary and mimosa bar on Sundays.

Cons: Slower service (10-13min wait on drinks, half hourish for 5 appetizers that you throw in a fryer) and bathroom was dirty (dirty seat, toilet paper and paper...

This place is wonderful! We came here for some brunch and it was totally worth it. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming — so much that we will always remember how great this place is. The bloody Marys were fantastic and the food was so good. Definitely would recommend and it is worth the drive if you are staying closer to the dam also. Such a great place. Every year we visit, we make sure to come and say hi. Staff is sweet and friendly. Food is pretty dang good too. Just a spot that you have to hit. If you are looking for a an uptight place to take your uptight wife and kids definitely skip this spot so non of us have to deal with you. Haha.
