Capps Pizza — Restaurant in Ohio

so a bit of a mixed bag this past time. staff were friendly and polite on the phone. food was ready when i got there and they were even able to make a couple unexpected additions to the order which is appreciated.

food was both good and bad. ordered a pepperoni and sausage calzone, steak fries, a grilled chicken caesar salad, and a ceasar salad without chicken, and pepperoni balls.

both salads were reviewed as good and worth the money. the steak fries were good and the amount was generous, which was good and worth the money. the pepperoni balls, more like pepperoni biscuits, were a bit burnt and had single pieces of pepperoni in them which was not nearly enough for all that dough. needed more to be balanced. not really worth the money. the calzone, i was pretty disappointed in. it was pretty obvious it was just a smaller pizza folded over, not folded and sealed like a calzone normally is (having worked in a pizza shop myself and folding and sealing the edges the right way doesnt take that much more effort). the toppings and grease fell out the first time i picked it up. it was just kind of a mess. the taste was...meh.

i have ordered food and pizza here before and i have worked in both pizza places and food places and sometimes you just have and off day. so i wont ding them too hard. just a little...

Just had an instance with them where I placed an order for delivery at 7:37. My delivery time was suppose to be at 8:52. That time came and went and we waited another half hour before we called them. My wife called and they was very rude to her telling her theres nothing they can do cuz that would just screw him annd basically said it was our fault cuz we ordered contactless. Eventually he hung up on my wife and cancelled my order all together. If his driver left it at the wrong house that’s understandable people make mistakes but for a business to not wanna make things right and give attitude over the situation is very unprofessional. Update it has been a week now since my order was not delivered and then cancelled by Capps and still no refund. I have been going to this establishment for about 7 years now pretty consistently and spending 70 or more each time and I’m disappointed that I can no longer trust that if a mistake happens it won’t...

Ordered a pick up, zero greetings when I walked in. The owners? The older Woman and gentleman were off putting. The lady looked to be just put out to have customers in there. Just the nastiest unwelcoming face and attitude! Still excited to try their pizza… and it horrible. Bland, basic out of the can sauce. Idk if it’s canned but it tasted gross. The best part is I ordered a salad, individual size, they literally used topping shredded iceberg lettuce! Skimpy on the toppings which included pizza cheese, bland tomatoes and olives and 3 banana peppers even after substituting more banana peppers in place of onions. Which they left on. The salad was expensive so I was super unhappy and just let down. The reviews I read were super misleading on the quality of food and customer service. Def not going back, Def not ordering again AND literally referring no one to this...
