Leaving Pittsburgh on way to Chicago, we found this place on Google maps this morning. They have almost 5 stars. Figured this place has to be really good. So we picked this place because of the stars and because our family always supports small businesses. So glad we stopped by to eat here.
Got there just around 8am not too crowded, was able to get a seat within the first 3 mins. Sat down, took a good 7 mins before ordered. That’s when they start getting busy. Understandable. The food was perfect. I ordered the “Hungry Jack Breakfast” and got my son the kids meal “Junior Waffle-O - 1/2 waffle, 1 egg, 2 strips of bacon or 2 links”. These were just the right size portion. Most people like big meals, and some might say the adult meal is small. I would disagree, it was perfect and the right size portion. The price was fair and the good taste was great. The bacon was perfectly crisp! That’s the hard one to get right. These guys did! I would give 5 stars for service but I felt as if the staff could be a little more energetic and happy. Seems like their tired or something’s bothering them. I would highly recommend name tags so it’s easier to give praise to a specific staff member.
Parking has limited spaces, so you may have to park further down the parking lot away from the front doors if you arrive when it’s busy.
All in all, I say the food and service was above average and worth the drive here. Very clean bathroom and a very...
Read moreCrazy. Went there after a softball tournament with my kids and my son had a long hair wrapped around his French toast. All of our stomachs were turned over it. I politely showed the server and I even offered to pay for everything-- we just wanted to leave immediately because my son and I have sensitive stomachs. Then a manager barges out (female) and demands that I finger through the French toast and show her the hair clump. The server had already seen it..my son was gagging..she wasn't even remotely apologetic or polite. The most incredible experience ever. We hadn't eaten anything so I was clearly not attempting to deceive anyone. We were freaking starving. Just gross. I showed her the hair clump and I left. We'll never be back and now every single time we pass the restaurant my son points out that it's the place with hairy food. It wouldn't have even been such a big thing if she hadn't made me hold it up for a third time. Have more respect for your guests..the manager was so rude that I question how the heck she is in...
Read moreWe have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while. We arrived at 10 am and there was not a wait. We were seated promptly. We did observe that people that arrived after us had about a 5 minute wait. Our server was nice and moved around the room helping people. The restaurant is decent-sized and the tables are spread out. We were seated at a booth.
Our waitress provided drinks and came back quickly to get our orders. The menu was extensive but not too busy looking. I ordered The C’s Special which included two eggs, hash browns and toast. My eggs and hash browns came out perfect, just like I ordered them. My son’s waffles were big and made perfectly. They were fluffy, a little crispy and delicious!
Overall, it is in a nice location, the wait was quick, the restaurant was clean, the servers were efficient and nice. The food was excellent. I would make two suggestions: the waffles need a side of eggs or meat and there should be a child’s menu. Other than that, we will be back to eat at...
