The Terrace Cafe at Shade Winery — Restaurant in Ohio

This place blew us away! We were on a road trip down south and wanted to make a quick stop for lunch so we randomly chose the Terrace Cafe, located conveniently right off I-77. Needless to say, we were not expecting enjoying ourselves this much.

They offered beautiful outdoor seating with a view of the vineyard. Service was top notch - our server, Hannah, took great care of us and the owner was so kind and warm. We ordered the soup of the day which was so good, tasted just like your mom would make it. Burger with bacon was probably one of the best tasting burgers I've ever had and sirloin special was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was prepared perfectly and felt very "homey". They had a great deal on wine flights which we didn't get a chance to enjoy, but the tables around us seemed to love it. A New favorite for us, we had the steak and a really tasty Pinot noir. The restaurant has a wider variety of wines than the ones they sell retail, including some dry reds and whites. The location is really wonderful, you get the southeast Ohio visual experience. Easy to get to just off of route 33.
