I was here at the same time as the other 1 star review. We actually overheard their restroom complaint haha There was no soap in the men’s room the entire time we were there, overheard somebody mention it, and the response was that they couldn’t do anything about it?? Also no paper towels in the women’s room the entire time as well (and no air dryers). I sure hope there was a separate employee restroom that they were able to wash their hands at least because we sure couldn’t.
When we were seated, the waitress seemed really panicked for our party of four people. When we were seated there were maybe two other parties and it took forever to get our food. It filled up a little bit more while we were eating but still not even 1/4 of the tables were full. The waitress took our orders, brought us our food, and that was it. I could have used more water less than halfway through my meal but was not even checked on once.
The food was mediocre at best. The “marinated chicken breast” was so dry that it was not worth finishing because of how much effort it took to chew. The cheese on the cheesy potato skins was what I assume to be Velveeta cheese sauce? We asked for our check while we were still eating (by getting the waitress’ attention from across the room since it was clear she wasn’t ever going to check on us again). Over 20 minutes after we asked for the check (yes we watched the time) we still saw no signs of our waitress having any plans on coming back with a check, so one of us went to the bar and got rang out there. As we left, the waitress did yell to us on our way out the door that she was sorry for the wait, so there was that I guess?
To be transparent, this was somewhere we decided to stop after the eclipse, but we were one of the first to arrive from that “crowd” and like I said it was never more than 1/4 full even...
Read moreI was part of Alyssa's party during the "nothing we can do about the soap" incident. I'm really only writing this as a counter to Kendra's review below. For one thing, there were at no point while we were there "nearly 100 people" in the restaurant, that is simply ridiculous. The place does seat probably 100 people, but it was about a quarter full when we arrived and maybe a third full by the time we left. There were several other things she mentioned that don't seem right to me (for instance from what I could see there was a dedicated bartender), but that's not really important. The reason I'm writing this review is to remind the reader that Kendra didn't mention the fact that there was no soap available and when they asked a patron was told "there's nothing we can do about it." This is obviously the reason for the 1 star reviews. Neither Alyssa nor myself would have bothered even leaving a review if we just received slow service and mediocre food, and I doubt the other fellow would have either. The problem is a blatant health code violation. I will also reiterate that this problem persisted for our entire time there. There was still no soap by the time we left, well over...
Read moreI was there at the same time as Alyssa and Eric below. I almost guarantee I know who these two people were based on how rude I witnessed them being to the server they mention in their posts. Firstly, it was busy in the restaurant when they were in there. VERY BUSY. And it kept getting busier. What they also failed to mention was that there were two servers for a restaurant that can seat 100 people and was almost full and had been for hours. Some people just don’t seem to see the other people around them in a restaurant. Another important factor is that the servers in this restaurant are responsible for: seating, drink making, salad making, serving, and bussing. Most of which, is visible to customers if they care to notice. That’s the bad thing reviews, isn’t it? People only share what they notice. Usually, what they notice is their own needs and nothing else. I guess that’s the bad part about humanity as a whole. In conclusion, KUDOS TO THE TWO SERVERS WHO FED EVERYONE THAT CAME IN. And, Eric and Alyssa, I would love to train you as severs sometime and see how well you can hold up on...
