I'm surprised to see a review from a day ago since the two signs above the restaurant were gone, I thought it closed down. My friend who lives several hours away was sad, but not me. I thought the food was way overpriced and we came when the nachos were on sale. The only thing good was the sweet potato fries. I used to fry chips for Taco Bell and I could tell my chips were not fried right. Some chips were not seperated so they could cook all the way, but most of them were overcooked. The waiter was obviously inexperienced or he would have never tried to serve them. The cook was too obviously. I had to keep looking at my waiter and turning his way to get his attention because I wanted more soda pop. I drank 3 to get more for my money since the food so disappointing. You don't let a drink get below half full without asking if a customer wants more and that is the manager's fault for not training him properly and keeping tabs on the place. I wanted more hamburger for my nachos and they said it would be $3.00 for a little more so I said forget it- a patty at McDonald's cost a dollar last time I knew. I asked for a to go cup last time I got pop and kept the plastic cup as a souvenir for all my trouble. My friend who I rarely see was embarrassed because I complained so it ruined our time together there. I was upset so I came back another day and complained to the main manager. Yeah, he said he just started there,ha, no wonder everything was so messed up. I told him we really liked the sweet potato fries, but he didn't offer me any for taking time out of my day to tell him everything that needed improvement (from someone who has experience in working in fast food and one waitress job, as well as some management experience at fast food place and a convenience store). Yeah, thanks for NOTHING. I won't be coming back unless they offer me some free sweet potato fries-and that would probably be the last time I came too. Yeah, the only thing he said was he'd tell the head honchos that I thought the extra hamburger price was too high and he'd try to...
Read moreUpdate: Decided to give this location another shot. Swing and a miss. The food was okay, not amazing. Chicken fry was better than the overcooked burger. The biggest problem is with they service and cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned. The menu said it was made with Knob Creek rye and a black cherry. I sat in the booth and watch the bartender make the drink. They poured Jack Daniels, not Knob Creek, into a shake. Knob Creek rye and JD are not comparable in any way. Then, she literally shook the drink to death. Any bartender should know that you do not shaker an old fashioned, you are supposed to stir it. I could forgive the shaking, but using a bourbon that is not what's on the menu is unforgivable. If you are out of Knob Creek, tell me and let me decide if I still want it. When she was done shaking the drink, it was strained in a glass with a big ugly, cloudy ice cube and garnished with a bright red ice cream sundae maraschino cherry, not a black cherry. An bright red ice cream sundae cherry has no place in a whisky drink. Learn to make cocktails properly please. Next, the drink sat at the bar for 10 minutes. Our server walked past it several times and never picked it up and brought it to me until I asked if that was my drink. They also nickle and dime you to death and the server didn't mention it was an upcharge. Girlfriend asked for extra gravy and they charged $1, never said it was an upcharge. I asked for extra BBQ sauce on my burger, they charged 50 cents. They even charged for a few extra jalapenos. We had to flag down the server for practically everything including to get it check and pay. Finally, even though we watched the hostess wipe the table, it was so sticky I couldn't rest my arms on the table without being grossed out. Yuck!
Original review: First visit wasn't the best. Good food but service was lacking. Bartender was more concerned with visiting with his buddy than taking care...
Read moreThis location sucks every time we come in. I love the food so we try about every 6 months hoping for a better turnout. This was definitely the last time. We have walked out twice before because we never got greeted. Today the hostess had a great attitude and was so smiley and sweet! She’d receive 5 stars!
Once we sat, the server took our drink order, then our food order. Then she was gone. She didn’t come by for the 40 minutes we waited for our food. We saw her one time delivering food to her one other table but she never once stopped by to check on us or came out of the kitchen again.
A manager came by and refilled a drink that sat empty half the time. Keep in mind.. The place had 6 tables? And About 8 servers walking and standing around. Our orders were pretty easy, party of 3 and one being a kids meal and they took forever with how dead it was.
40 minutes of our server missing and she finally brings the food out. I asked if I could get a refill on my drink now that the food arrived. Goes missing again and never brings the drink.
I finish my entire meal. The manager walks by again and asks if he can get us anything. We ask for drinks again. He had her bring the refills to the table at this point.
We watched another server closing the dining room pretty much the whole time we were in there, so I’m not sure if our server was doing closing in the back. But we walked in at 7:40, they close at 10, so I think it was necessary to stay attentive to the guests. We didn’t come in 10 minutes before close, and we didn’t come in at a peak hour. The service was not appropriate for the amount of servers and the very few tables.
We love the food but something’s gotta give because the experience is never...
