You have to try this place! The mexican food is out of this world for the price. It's like a hole in the wall, not fancy at all. However, you will feel like you're at someone's house because the food tastes homemade. It's family owned, very friendly, and did I mention homemade food. Very authentic.They have tamales [pork or chicken] every Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to the tamales every week. Just give them a try. You can eat there or take it to go. They are way better than La Mansion in Catoosa when comparing tacos, burritos, tamales, chips and dip. They have fresh made guacamole everyday as well as all their salsa and cheese dip. You won't be disappointed.

They put cilantro and onions on the tacos and burritos so if you don't like that request not to get the onions and cilantro. (I said that because I saw another review that said they didn't like the cilantro or onions..... ps... simple fix.) Ya know, this place may look sketchy from the outside, but working in the food service industry myself, I was impressed by everything I saw on the inside, tonight. These people put in a LOT of work to do things right - this is NOT a greasy spoon. All the kitchen equipment is new and shiny. The tables are likely second-hand, but they could pass for new. Everything looks to be completely up to code. As such, when you do it right, it makes for tasty food. This is a solid restaurant with a generally Tex Mex menu, but there are a few solidly Mexican items on the menu (like lengua tacos - I'll have to come back for those). Oh, wow this was a great lunch. Two orders of the Enchiladas Dinner. Our pick was 2 chicken enchiladas with green sauce, two beef with red sauce, rice, beans and to top it off, delicious fresh chilies toreados (all to go). The enchiladas were packed with meat. The beans had great flavor. The meals came with chips and their excellent salsas. Their hot salsa is a must have. It is a smoky jalapeno. Excellent!
