Trek Coffee Company: Freshly Ground Coffee & a Bit of Colorado in Every Cup

A log cabin located just north of Washington, Oklahoma, is quickly becoming a destination coffee spot for Central Oklahomans. Nicknamed “The Coffee Cabin,” Trek Coffee Company is a bustling hub for lovers of freshly ground coffee beans and excellent local cuisine.

No matter the time of day, Trek Coffee is busy inside its Colorado-inspired cabin and outside in a drive-thru that caters to customers who need their coffee fix on the go. They source their beans from the finest organic, fair-trade farms and roast their coffee beans onsite. This gives coffee lovers a delicious source of rich, robust coffee for their house favorite drinks like Maple Cinnamon Latte, their most popular beverage.

The beans are not the only specialty of the Maple Cinnamon Latte. It also uses gourmet maple syrup and organic cinnamon. Going one step further seems to be Trek Coffee's hallmark.

“We like to balance the sweet treats with healthy, delicious options so that our customers have both choices,” said Addison Self, owner of Trek Coffee Company. “Our coffee brings customers in daily, but they stay longer when they try anything from our diverse menu.”

They offer savory favorites like breakfast burritos, quiche Lorraine, ham and cheese croissants, avocado toast, sourdough sausage biscuits, and a California panini to health-conscious diners, for those looking for something sweet, locally sourced cinnamon rolls, gourmet cookies, muffins, bagels, and a nice selection of Danishes. They are also offering some delightful caramel apples for a year-round taste of fall.

Open since 2022, Trek Coffee offers a unique atmosphere that is cozy and warm and has free wi-fi. Their menu includes smoothies and a few non-coffee options, including themed drinks and holiday specials. They utilize local bakers for their homemade breads, ice cream (in season), and many of their sweet treats.

Their staff is made up mostly of college and homeschool students who know how to hustle and serve the constant stream of customers in a quality-conscious, consistent manner. The overall experience has a Colorado feel with a “getaway from reality” twist.

The owner is very friendly. The atmosphere is wood cabin cozy. It's so clean! Everyone I dealt with there was happy to help and made me want to come back.

We had a tent outside as part of their little farmer's market that they host on Thursday evenings. I stopped in for some water because the heat was exhausting me, and they filled up my large cup with ice water. As I was standing there, I saw all the fresh food for sale. I ordered two ice cream cones. Let me tell you, they have the BEST ice cream I have had since I left California.

They make it in-house, and it's always super fresh because it's constantly selling out. Peach Cobbler and Strawberry shortcake is what we got. Those aren't even their most popular flavors, and they were so incredibly flavorful and refreshing.

The frozen slices of real peach IN the ice cream? How they made the cobbler crumbles so perfectly? It all comes together to be right up there with the best of them.

My wife is not a huge snob, but she's not very into sweets. She was blown away by this strawberry shortcake ice cream. She was very pleased. We can't wait to come back again for the excellent food, service, atmosphere, and farmer's market.

We hit this coffee shop up every Saturday. The young ladies that work in here are awesome, professional and very helpful!! The coffee is perfect and always tastes yummy. I was reading through some of the reviews and saw one that we were in there for from a Mr. Layfield and we were sitting on the couch eating our cinnamon rolls with some awesome coffee and this man was as difficult as they come. The blonde was not rude at all and was trying to work with him, but he just wasn’t happy about the amount of coffee, so I was happy to see the owner get on there and explain why the cup was a little more than half full!! I know with business, the customer is always right, but in this case what was put in the review was not as accurate as he made it sound!! We have had this young lady help us a lot and she is as sweet as they come and we just love her! So you might want to take that into consideration when you talk with her!! At least be honest in...
