As a born and raised McDowell/Buncombe co. native, I really want this place to do well so that it can uplift my community however I was thoroughly unimpressed with the food that I ordered. I had the Chorizo smash burger and I really did not find it appealing. The bun was not toasted whatsoever. Not on the inside or on the top. It also wasnt a high quality bun by any means. The flavor of the burger just didn't seem right, maybe improperly seasoned. My parents are vegetarians and so they ordered the veggie taco which for $5 each, they found to be pretty disappointing. Very small portions and they also said it tasted improperly seasoned. I also personally felt like the staff could've done better to come up and greet us and tell us about what they were doing and what the plan is considering the place just opened and it's basically going to be everyones first time in the place and it's a pretty unique thing that you guys are trying to create. Like I said I really want this place to do well and I want to leave a better review one day but the quality of the food is going to need to improve for...
Read moreI had an awesome time at the watershed! I’m not sporty spice so I wasn’t sure what to expect considering the emphasis on the bike trails and pump track they have but I was pleasantly surprised to feel right at home in the foothills of the mountains. The food was incredible, so incredible I ordered two meals because I wanted to try everything lol I’d make a recommendation but it was all so good. You can pay $5 to hang out down by the river which is the perfect hangout spot. There’s a pond to cool off in and they have chairs available or you can bring your own. I felt really cozy and at home. The staff was all super helpful and seemed to be excited to be a part of such a cool project. This is definitely a one of a kind spot. If you’re looking for a “third place” this is it. I can’t wait to see what else they add on, I hear they’re starting a brewery soon and right now it’s BYOB. This is a great spot to bring your family or to hang out alone if you want to feel safe outdoors outside...
Read moreWow! What an amazing addition to Old Fort. The Watershed has everything you need to spend all day there. The food is amazing, with an incredible blend of flavors, the atmosphere at the base camp is super cool and inviting. No beer yet, but it’s BYOB for now and they sell a large array of other cold beverages, including CBD drinks. Talk about a chill afternoon! Spending time at the water is a must. It’s only $5 and it’s absolutely worth it. I could have spent all day in that pond floating like a little bug. All in all, I can’t recommend it more. Bonus points if you’re into mountain biking! They’ve created a sick trail system on...
