LaBree's Bakery — Restaurant in Old Town

I bought a black forest cake from a local grocer. I noticed the cake was made at your facility. I love black forest cake and was anxious to try it. But when I tried to open the plastic container it was in I found out getting into Fort Knox would be easier. The packaging wouldn't come apart no matter what I tried. The plastic container cracked on the bottom in several places, I couldn't grip the container top get it apart. I even used a knife to get in between the two halves and failed miserably. I was so frustrated that I literally threw the whole cake back into the fridge. I tried again a couple of hours later and finally managed to get it opened (the packaging destroyed in the process). Finally, I got to the cake only to learn it was the stalest, most artificially and chemically flavored cake I ever had. When I looked for the expiration date on the package, I noticed there wasn't one. There's so many chemicals in your cake that, for all I know, this cake could be six months old. I had no way of knowing without the expiration date. Also, after reading you lengthy ingredient list, I'm convinced you should change your company name from "Labree's Bakery" to "Labree's Chemical plant". Sorry this review is so insulting, but I feel you insulted me buy selling me a ridiculously overly sweetened, stale chemical block you call a 'cake in a Fort Knox package. Wouldent work their again.

The food is made horribly. Anyone that has worked their knows all the horror stories about the food quality. They rarely clean the drum equipment "mixers". Then when you see the mold and everything they just keep growing around....just nasty! Its rarely inspected. And when it is. They got a good routine they play to distract the inspector.

RIP Hannaford bakery. These guys hold all their contracts for their cookies and muffins and brownies and other packaged stuff in...

Best place ever to pick up and drop off. Very friendly and kind people and quick. Been here twice and both times came in early with the same results, in and out before you can get back to your truck and wait😁🤙 wish I can come here more often. I also took did my ten hour break and dint have a problem. Just make sure you have some sense and park out the way and most importantly please keep it clean don’t mess up a good thing or a good place to do...
