Happy Ice Cream — Restaurant in Olive Branch

My bride heard about their opening so we checked it out the morning of their first day of operation! It was fun and exciting to share their joy and enthusiasm to be finally opened and ready to share happiness. Store well named! Because after all, that is a little bit what Ice Cream is all about. The store is inviting, crisp and well laid out. I was particularly impressed with the display of home-made popsicles and the selection of unusual Ice Cream flavors, also home-made. The Staff was exceptionally friendly and efficient. Being the morning, almost late breakfast time, we both chose a couple popsicles. My wife's blend of yogurt and fruits was flavorful and delicious. I chose an all natural tropical fruit and juice, and it looked fantastic. However, it fell way short on flavor until I hit the bottom where there was more juice. They will have to work on that; yes, I agree that the eyes are super important when it comes to the treats we choose. But what create lasting memories is flavor. I wish this delightful new Ice Cream place well, especially in such a competitive segment. I personally wouldn't open such a store in the winter but understandably, when you plan an opening, timing doesn't always work out. I am sure Covid had to do something with it. Good luck, adjust the fullness and intensity of your flavors and most of all, never loose your enthusiasm and happiness to be opened and serve guests; you these are key ingredients to great Hospitality. We ordered 5 mangonadas. They were all made in different amounts even though they are all large. A little red headed girl was working there today. She DOES NOT have a welcoming face on and has an attitude everytime we come in. I asked her why they weren’t filled up or why each were made in different amounts, since I’ve gotten mangonadas 100 times there, she clearly heard my question and decided to say “have a good day.” As if she didn’t hear what I asked her when she looked straight at me when I asked. Not sure if I will be coming back. These are almost $10 so I think it’s appropriate for them to filled to at least the cup size or same amount each cup. Stopped in to Happy Ice Cream for the first time today, brought my daughter for a sweet treat. We showed up a few minutes before the the store opened (not on purpose) and walked in, the staff member was polite and chatted with us as she set up the store for business. Super cute interior, displays of ice cream and popsicle bar are attractive and enticing, we both ended up trying Popsicles and were very pleased with our purchase. Will be back with the rest...
