Taqueria El Tacontentoo. — Restaurant in Olive Branch

I visited this place on May 16th. A good tamale will make me get off my diet anytime, and this place had exactly what I haven’t had in quite some time—some very good tamales. Once again, I went out of my way to find a decent Mexican meal, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Don’t be fooled by the location, if you’re looking for it. I almost drive right by the place. Once again, I found another exceptional burrito that could rival any other burrito I’ve eaten lately. It is seriously in my top three choices of burritos I’ve had in the last 15 years. The tamales on the other hand have to be the absolute best I’ve had…hands down. I will say I haven’t had an extreme amount of tamales over the years, because not every place I visit makes them. Still, this place had great tamales. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling though Olive Branch, MS. It’s a must stop, if you like good Mexican food. I’ll go back someday soon and order something different than burritos, so I can get a full scope of fine Mexican dining. The place was clean enough to eat off the floor as well with a very friendly person on the register. I didn’t feel out of place at all. Give them a try...

I lived in OB for many years and enjoyed the food there as it is as authentic as any you can find north of San Angelo TX. We moved to Southern Colorado a year ago and there is Mexican food there of course. The tamales and tacos from Tacontentoo are excellent. Guacamole is great.
