This is my first time here as I’m passing through. When I was driving by I stopped at Sal-lee’s Dream restaurant, however I sat there not being waited on. So, I decided to try this restaurant. I’m glad I didn’t eat at the other one, with dirty floors and flies swarming everywhere. Kountry Kitchen is a clean little diner. The food and the service was fabulous. The burger was homemade and so was the bread bun. Also, the bacon on the burger wasn’t your store bought type. We also got the fried fish and it was crunchy and delicious. You have to try the pepper slaw! I will come back here if I’m up in the area.

10/5/24 Wife had 2 eggs, bacon, homefries n rye toast. I had cheese omelet with smoked sausage, peppers n onions, sourdough toast n a side of homefries (which they forgot to bring out). Coffee was very good. The waitress n servers were so very pleasant n friendly. The omelet was huge although I asked for cheddar n was given american cheese. But the kicker was the SLICED homefries. They were so mushy n they were hardly browned. Tasted like they were fried in something hot (other than black pepper), we couldnt eat them. Waitress amended ck n apologized for the missing cheddar n and the hot homefries.

This place gets packed during breakfast time on weekends. Very family friendly. Staff are always nice and attentive. Food is good. Simple but large portions. Decently priced.

I ate here today and had the lasagna special which included a side salad and garlic bread for $11.00. The lasagna portion was very generous and the garlic bread was two thick pieces of Texas toast. Overall the food was decent, not the best I ever had nor the worst. I had the peanut butter pie for dessert and it was very good. The service was prompt and courteous. I'm glad there is another good option in the area since the place just east of here has gone down hill. This place is a much...
