To say my experience tonight was awful would be an understatement! I called in my order and was told it would take about 10 minutes. I get to the restaurant and drive through the drive-thru and pay and was told “your order isn’t ready.” I told the girl I would just come in and get my order so I wasn’t holding up the drive-thru. I get inside and wait 45 additional minutes on my food (after the 10 minutes I was told it would take when I ordered). Once I made it inside, I told one of the employees I had a call-in order and I paid in the drive-thru, but I was inside to get my order since it wasn’t ready when I came through the drive-thru. I was told that they were just waiting on my salad. 45 minutes into sitting in the lobby, next to another lady that also paid in the drive-thru and came in, I checked on my order again only to be told “oh it’s been ready in the back.” The employees were arguing over my order because apparently the person that prepped my salad didn’t tell the girl that was working the front. I left and got down the road and noticed that they didn’t put the ranch in my salad box. I turned around and drove back and one kid that was working told me that they were short staffed and another kid told me that most of their staff was new and they couldn’t help that they were messing up. I told the kids they probably needed to let management know they were struggling tonight rather than continuing to screw everyone’s orders up and making them wait so long. The lady I sat next to in the lobby waited at least 45 minutes with me, I don’t know how long before me she ordered. I told every customer that walked in, while I was sitting there in the lobby, they would be waiting at least 45 minutes for their orders and they turned around and walked out. One customer even said “oh I’m not waiting around like last time, let’s go.” It was pitiful how the employees acted and didn’t want to own up to their poor time management skills and lack of ability to maximize their resources they had available in the restaurant. Read moreWe ordered food for the whole house, a CHICKEN philly (when we got it, it was steak) my MIL didn’t mind, she ate it anyways. We shared the new brisket pulled pork fries with no tomatoes (tomatoes loaded all over it) I thought, “it’s okay” I tried to pick them off but then while eating them there was barely any actual meat and the sauce the fries were DRENCHED in was just too much. Not a dry fry from the bbq sauce, every single one of them was soggy… the burger was alright, I asked for “mustard, pickle, cheese, bacon, lettuce. NO KETCHUP” the burger came with KETCHUP, no mustard. It was the exact opposite of what we asked for. My fiancé got wings and said they were good, and the curly fries was good as well but other than that It’s like there’s no one to check the food before it goes out, and in my years of experience whomever you have working the window is the last person to make sure your business looks good. Read moreI travel from West Monroe to Alexandria often, I pass by many eateries on my commute but one The Burger Barn in Olla La, The Food is delicious, I read one negative review I believe we can all agree someone was having a bad day, I am so glad to stop in at the Burger Barn the food is fantastic the employees are always friendly and nice and greet me as I enter, not your regular fast food experience far from that, just good hometown atmosphere and local hospitality, I remember as a young boy stopping in for lunch at the Burger Barn with my parents in Olla the Food and service was so good then, I'm 62 years old now, I would say The Burger Barn has the right recipe, and yes there are new people I miss seeing Becky, Ms Dolly and others but never forgotten, wish there was a Burger Barn in West Monroe Burger Barn & Staff Thank You!
