Great work staff including the full beer tenders roster and few line cooks was awesome! Bugs Bugs!
IS THIS RACIST,I dealt with leaking ceilings while cooking in the rain, itās dripping because the ceiling has not been fixed, mice and flies in the back in boxes they still serve to customers as well as eating out of veggie containers with fingers no gloves at times. No sanitation station for rags or buckets when whipping stations just a spray bottle and dry rag which is sitting with germs!
If a phone is left near flammable materials or accidentally comes into contact with a heat source, it can ignite a fire, putting you and your kitchen at risk. Contamination: Kitchen environments often contain various food ingredients, oils, and liquids that can easily come into contact with your phone
Also phone use by the line next to food is a form of Crisās contamination(Germs)But my point Iām stuck at is Chef stole my recipes minus the olives In the pictures Iāve uploaded, added pickles instead for PESTO and SPICY BBQ and fired the only black guy because the season slow,WHILE telling him prior that he knew his staff was lazy and young and that Phil donāt like young people and how he Micro Manages everyone he talked shit about how Cham slow and didnāt believe he lost his grandma, talk shit about Ciaran being lazy personally to me is he lien no but heās the chef theyāre reflection of him and how people smoke vapes in bathrooms and walk-ins. I watched him lie to Ms.Angel even talk rude to her few times when she just asked questions honestly the shift is ran way better when Ms Angel was in charge while so called chef with no experience was on vacation and heās the most childish,50 acts 29. He canāt do a single thing better far as dough or anything ARIEL IS THE REAL MVP NOT CHEF!He was mad Phil said Chloe can do more far as baking but he like Chloe,He wants to look good but chef canāt cook for real the recipes are googled and stolen from other restaurants like the Octoberfest and mines! I broke pizza record 6 different times I ran the line over the summer! No one else produced more pizza than me over this summer. No one worked harder everyone called out for parties, trips and fatigue I am in the army and the times I could not make it was due to those duties which is more important but was still hassled to come to work after! They treat veterans horrible who work there and only reason for firing was slow season but kept some lazy lazy people because white is my only reason. If they donāt work better or harder and havenāt done what I done in short time whatās more valuable but the difference is I was the only black guy besides one And he was a beertender mostly so basically Iām the only black guy in the kitchen and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhether you sit inside or out, the ever popular Brookeville Beer Farm is a nice place to have some really good craft beers brewed on-site. Even someone who is not a beer drinker will find a beer that will suit the palate. (They do offer soft drinks and hard cider, as well.) I say this from personal experience. Paired with their tasty brick oven pizza (choices abound), and it's a perfect pairing right there. Occasionally, a seafood truck is parked for added fare.
Check their website for upcoming events which include live music dates, the seafood truck schedule, and special brews.
On the weekends, the parking is tight and like a circus. Have patience. In nice weather, picnickers and families set up on the adjacent field to have food, drink, and outdoor time.
In addition... a note about the building...
This location has been a spot of many a failed business. It's awesome that the owners of the Brookeville Beer Farm made something successful out of this place. It has some meaning to me as it started with the rebuilding of the green roofed gazebo that is now incorporated into the BBF building. It came from Seton Psychiatric Institute, which was once off of Reisterstown Rd. in Baltimore (more like Pikesville area). I lived in Pikesville as a child and five of my relatives worked there so they had a home way back on the grounds.
The Gazebo was at the front entrance and I always loved seeing it when visiting my family. When the Institute was sold and abandoned, the first owners of the Brookeville location somehow found out the gazebo was going to be demolished. The owner/ husband and a friend made an agreement with whoever owned it to take it off of the grounds. The wife told me the two guys took it apart, piece by piece, numbering the wood... then put it back together by number. (I know all of this as I kept driving by the gazebo, knowing I recognized it but couldn't remember why. The place was a nursery at that time, so I stopped and asked about the gazebo while buying some plants. I was amazed at what a small...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was a fantastic spot to go and visit. It feels like a winery but for beer. Wide open outdoor space for kids to run around with picnic table seating. Live music on the night we went. Beer was tasty (other options other than beer available but I didn't try) and the pizza options were more creative than just cheese or single topping. Very friendly, helpful, staff who were able to keep lines moving at a steady pace.
The few small details that made this a 4/5: If you aren't a local, this place is a hike of twists and turns on back roads to get to. This isn't the fault of the business, they landed where they could, and I don't hold them accountable on the matter. It does mean that this place is probably not a casual drop in spot for me. Expect a bit of a drive. The pizza took a very long time to come out. The kitchen was slammed though! I did not have the expectation that it would come quickly but a few people who ordered after me got their orders first. The staff informed me of the wait time when I ordered, so it wasn't a surprise, but it was longer than the quoted period. The pizza was good, but if you are going on a busy day, bring snacks just in case. There were a lot of options for beers but it appeared as though many were can pours. For me personally, with the volume of attendants and the quality of everything else I expected more tap lines than were available. I did order a can pour and the quality was good but still isn't on par with a draft pour. That is strictly my opinion.
Overall, if I could give this place a 4.5/5, I would. Their staff was friendly and efficient. The establishment was well maintained and is great for groups and families. The food was available and good quality. The beer was delicious and there were a good amount of options. I would definitely go again, but only under the same conditions I would visit a winery. Definitely worth trying out...
