The rude and horrid owner/cook ruined my family dinner. As we were preparing to pay our tab and leave the restaurant our toddler began getting a bit antsy. The owner/cook walked to our table and began addressing our child on his behavior. It was totally rude for her to even speak to our child and especially in a negative tone and not say anything to us as the parents - adults should address adults if there is a issue. The owner/cook needs to take a class in customer service and learn how to handle situations the right way. Kudos to our waitress who was fantastic and told us that our kiddo wasn't loud at all and disagreed with the snarling remarks from the owner/cook. I'm sure the owner/cook will reply and attempt to switch the narritve in her favor - seems like that's the theme for any negative reviews. The only bright side was my kiddo not reponding to her when she asked his name - we tought our kiddo not to respond to bullies.
Response To The Below Comment: "What would I do? "...to answer your question I would address the parent and advise them of the situation and not the child.... I wouldnt make one table feel like they were less valued as another table ...I would of asked how the meal was and did they have a good time...I would of did the moral and responsible thing as a owner of a business...and not what you did! Yet again the biggest problem is you addressed a 3 year old child and NOT the parents. You failed to acknowledge that in your reply. You also never stated to us that other tables were complaining etc when you came to our table - you only addressed our toddler. As an adult if there is a issue - you address the PARENT! And our kiddo was quiet and watched youtube for the hour that we were there and was not being loud at all - which was also confirmed by YOUR staff and our waitress. Evidently you addressed the wrong table and handled the situation 100% wrong. Happy to...
Read moreFood was good and came out quickly. Our waitress was attentive, very friendly and over all just AWESOME! Our experience was really great until we were literally paying our tab to leave. At this point our toddler was getting antsy and ready to leave. Which we were wrapping up to leave within the next few minutes. We also were in a secluded section surrounded by partial walls and only one empty table next to us. The kitchen was also next to our section with a partial wall.... the cook (I'm assuming also the owner) came over to our table. Addressing my 3 y/o son instead of his parents and told him he was extremely loud and needs to learn what an inside voice is. She was rude. She never asked us how our food was or anything. Just complained of how loud our child was. If you don't like kids in your establishment then just say that. She ruined our entire previously enjoyable dining experience. We won't be returning. And if you have young kids, I advise you not go... *since I can't respond to the owners response.. My son was quiet the ENTIRE time watching YouTube . He did get antsy in the last 5 MINUTES we were there. Literally had the check at our table paying to leave. He was never swinging the lamp in the air until you grabbed it from him pulling his arm up in the air with it. He was playing with it and that was our mistake. We we should have taken it away. You were out of line and RUDE. Literally the rudest experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Paying over $100 dollars to support a local restaurant gone horribly wrong. YOU mishandled the situation. And you are responding in a way to make it as if we had an unruly child. Even your waitress told us he was fine and not loud when we told her what you did. Trying to respond to Google reviews to make yourself look better. You are the...
Read moreGood fried chicken and service, but nonsensical menu pricing. We ordered the signature Saturday night family chicken plate (serves two and comes with sides and ice cream). However, since there were many of us, we ordered three of this special. Despite doing so, we only received a single serving size of each side dish even though we were also charged an extra $3 per person to split each order (so an additional $9 total just to bring three empty plates to the table). When we asked about potentially having a little bit more of one of the sides, given that there were so many of us, we were instead told that the chef decides how much of each side to give and that the amount given (even though it was no more than if only one chicken plate had been ordered; this was confirmed by the party of two seated next to us that received exactly the same in terms of sides) was enough. Furthermore, when the ice cream was brought out, it was apparent that the ice cream had been scooped into a bowl way earlier (as in, days earlier), allowed to partially melt, and then stuck in a freezer in the serving bowl, only to be brought out directly from the freezer and served with the originally melted bit of the ice cream now frozen solid at the bottom of the bowl. The ice cream tasted fine, albeit a bit icy (caused by melting and refreezing ice cream), but this is just weird considering it probably saves about 15 seconds of time per bowl at best.
All in all, an ok experience, but despite the good tasting chicken I still left with a bad taste in my mouth after feeling like we were...
