I'm sorry but I didn't have a very good experience. I'll start it off by saying the pizza was good and I'll probably be back for another. But, I waited over 30 minutes for my food which wouldn't be bad at all but I think they might have forgotten about me. I only say that because most of my food was just warm, someone that seemed higher up maybe an owner came out and asked the servers about me and how long I've been sitting there. He then went back and got the order himself which seemed to be ready so idk how long it was sitting there. My cheese curds werent hot at all so they were rubbery, my fried pickles were a bit warmer but had a very interesting texture like mushy or slimey, and some how my bottled mnt. Dews are flat? They didn't seem very busy but the cook seemed almost annoyed to get another order and the waitresses didn't seem like they wanted to mess with me... This was my first time and it seems like it doesn't usually happen but Im not sure I want to go back. I kept a positive attitude the whole time even after trying my drink and I just sat there and studied my college work, but when I started eating the food on the way home, I was getting pretty disappointed after paying $40.... I understand rough days trust me I'm in hospitality and had a pretty rough day today, but with at least 3 servers and a few other people behind the bar and no one wanting to check on me, apologize, recommend anything, showing me where I can sit, or anything just...
Read moreThe food was good. The atmosphere was good. But we ordered 12 wings which is $15 2 side salads that equal up to $10 2 drinks That equals up to $6. With a total of $31 before taxes. The server was the manager I handed her my debit card and when she brought me back the receipt said $41. I went and asked her why it was SO high. She informed me that there's a dollar charge for every ranch. I was never informed at any point in time of my dining experience that there was an upt charge for ranch. There is also a charge to use a debit card. When I asked her about it she said it was on the front door. In my experience of working in the restaurant industry for over 15 years anytime a customer is getting charged an additional charge you should let them know. When I asked her why she didn't let me know she said she wrote it on the ticket. You should have inform people before they order that they're going to be charged. She said that 90% of her customers know that they're gonna get charged for ranch. She shouldn't have to tell them it's on the ticket. I Then replied Customers coming there for the first time are not gonna be aware of this charge and it's her job to inform us as a server. Then she informed me that Since I want to tell her how to do her job I should come and fill out an application So she can train me how to do her job. As a manager you should never talk to a customer like this. Very unprofessional...
Read moreAs a local to the area, I find myself always in search of good food to eat. I've eaten at local places from here to Springfield and being a transplant from Mississippi (Memphis area), it's rare that I find food which rises to the standards of which I'm accustomed. That being said. My family had the fortune to eat at the Hog House this evening and we tried the 10 cent wings (Buffalo, Apple Habanero, and Garlic Parmesan). The place was packed and we had to wait a while for a table and the air conditioning couldn't quit keep up with the heat from the kitchen and the constant opening front door. In fairness to the heat, it was 97 degrees outside when we arrived around 5:30 PM. The wait staff were so pleasant and they really made us feel at home. I couldn't say enough good about them, they were just amazing. Now for the food. They have home cut fries, really good onion rings, and I didn't eat a wing that I didn't eat down to my fingers. I specifically enjoyed the Apple Habanero wings. The others were above par, but those Apple Habanero wings were outstanding...not too hot with a sweet taste to add to that wonderful flavor. The sweet tea was good old fashion southern sweet tea and I was, for lack of a better expression, in Hog Heaven. The Hog House will be a regular dinning experience for my family from here on out. Go enjoy,...
