Lindy's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Onalaska

This is our favorite place to go. The owners Bill and Beth are the nicest people we have ever met. They make every single person feel welcome. They go out of their way to make sure everyone is served and happy, whether you walk in a soon as they open or if it is a minute before closing. They are very generous with the size of scoops and at a great price! The establishment is super clean and has that old soda shop nostalgia to it, even has an old juke box in the corner! The ice cream and Italian ice are the BEST you will ever find anywhere! The flavors are endless and out of this world! I mean, where can you get jalapeno blueberry, buttered popcorn, and banana fudge, just to name a few? The butter pecan, cookies and cream, and strawberry are the BOMB!! They make the waffle cones, and they are so delicious. There is something for everyone at Lindys. So load up the kids and take them, or take the wife out on a date, but be sure to stop by Lindys for dessert. I promise you won't be...

Shared a huckleberry n butter pecan waffle cone with my hubby. He got the papaya ice.both were great n satisfied our sweettooth..The owners Beth n Bill are retired. After they came from Kingwood to live in luxury decided retirement wasn't ready for them. n decided to open Lindys to bring a refreshing homemade idea to the Onalaska area.. all the icecream is handmade. Which Beth gets up very early each morning to make. They have 12 varieties n they give sample tastes of all of them...they also have cookies. N serve🍨 sundays. But no 🍌 splits.. 😥. However it still makes for a very satisfying sweet tooth.😜. They have inside tables as well a beautiful deck all full of tables just waiting to be filled. They are open till 7pm. That’s so much to say about Lindy’s! Every description HAS to start with “very”! Very friendly owners…very clean and cute place…and most importantly, VERY delicious ice cream! I had the Triple Lindy with a brownie on the bottom, Chocolate, Java the Hut and Buttered Pecan ice cream, chopped nuts, Reese Pieces and chocolate syrup, whipped cream and, of course, a cherry on top! My only regret is I forgot to take a photo of the beautiful creation. This could easily be shared but who wants to do that?! I forced myself to save some for the next day. It is made with such high quality ingredients that it came out of the freezer in a perfectly edible consistency which means I didn’t have to wait for it to soften!! Instant gratification! Will definitely be picking up some pints for emergency...
