It actually kinda breaks my heart to even have to post this review...but it NEEDS to be.posted! About a week ago my husband and I ordered dinner here, I got the Shanghi beef meal & my husband got the Teriyaki chicken meal and we ordered a Popo platter appetizer. It was the worst meals we have ever had here. The rice was crunchy and it might as well of been white rice there was hardly anything in what was suppose to be pork fried rice. My shanghi beef looked like it had been double fried, the meat was burnt inside. My husbands rice had the same issues and the chicken was over cooked. We called back on Tuesday since.they are closed Mondays. The woman said they would make it right and when we went to pick it up half the food was missing. So I called back and to them he said we had enough food for a meal if I want.the rest come get it. I explained to him that I'm handicapped and I can't walk So I've always got to find somebody to go in and pick up my food when I place orders or have. So I told him I just would rather get my money back on my card. He told me that I could come back up there and he would put my money back on my card but that he did not want us to order his food ever again. Made me.sad since I've been eating there since I was a kid and it was the place my husband and I had our first date. But I told him that that would not be a problem considering the way he treated us and considering how the food keeps...
Read moreI went here because of the other reviews the chicken looked sensational. When we got there we were given menus and told we could sit anywhere. One woman was working hard! Terry was her name. She was PHENOMENAL. She was on top of her game helping about 8 tables alone. She was sweet and quick with our order and receipt! We ordered a 6C which was orange chicken and white rice. And teriyaki chicken dinner with fried rice. I don’t like fried rice as much, but this fried rice was fresh and the pork was cooked perfectly. The teriyaki was my husbands and it did have more onion than he would’ve liked, I’d have to agree, the onion was to much, but we just set it aside! His meal was $12.75 about and mine was also 12.75. I ordered a to-go for my sister of orange chicken and white rice which was the same amount. Paid $41 for three orders! Sprite was fresh, dr proper was great! The decor is lacking, only because it’s more outdated. But it’s not the decor I’m worried about, which is why I gave it 5 stars! The orange chicken batter was THICK, and buttery. It was absolutely fabulous. I couldn’t get enough! My husbands teriyaki was cooked through and super tender as well. Everything was clean. All in all, this place is like a mom and pop shop. It’s a hidden gem at the back of Ontario that you NEEED TO TRY!! Everything is...
Read moreBe extra careful when ordering food to go here. Tonight our family ordered a family meal to go and not only were the portion sizes significantly small for the price but after we got home we realized they shorted us our soup (which we had specifically asked for when we ordered). I called back to see if we could get a credit or work something out and I was told that I was supposed to ask for it when I picked it up plus bring my own container.... I have never had a place short my order then blame it on me for not asking for all of my food. If the soup is only an "in house" item then they should tell that to customers that call in orders to go and express an interest in the soup. Just throwing this out there... Mandarin in Payette (10ish miles away) is the way to go. If you can avoid Shanghai and make it to Mandarin, I'm sure you...
