Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Opa-locka

Food was great as usual. Yet, service was poor. I asked to give me a second ( twice ), so I can get my order for my family right. Yet, when I was ready they returned my response to me (twice) by saying give me a second. Then they decided to take my order. * Note* no one was in front of me

Secondly, they forgot an item, so I went back to let them know ( I never left the property). They announced it, yet, they kept ignoring me. So I had to go around stop drive thru in order to get my missing item. But they felt like I was petty thief, and gave me the third degree. Needless to say I got my item.

Lastly, as with most Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen,they are located in the ghetto/ hood. So, this particular one is not one for those who cannot hold there own. I had my issue with a customer thinking he can intimidated me ( saying I had to go to the back of the line, even to complain) ( hahaha 🤣 he was a joke 🤣). Anyways I still went to the top and reported my missing item.

Honestly, I know the times we live in, but shouldn't color or race not be a primary factor in service or response to...

I ordered online, which offered in store pickup or drive thru—I chose in store.

When I approached the counter, the worker, who was busy talking to someone at the window, tells me the counter is closed and I must use the drive thru before running off. I said that I was there to pick up an order but he was gone.

The man he was talking to turned out to be another employee. To his credit, this employee informed the other that I was there to pick up, but he just pointed to the growing drive thru line.

I waited for 20 minutes while they helped the 5-6 cars ahead of me. When I finally got up to the window, do you think my food was ready? Of course not.

Additionally, in their haste, they packed my wings on their side and every drop of sauce dribbled out into the bag, all over the napkins, utensils, sauces, and filled the bottom of the bag.

I will never be returning to this Popeyes, which sucks cause it’s extremely close by. They always take forever but I was willing to overlook that because of convenience; however this was unacceptably disrespectful...

This Popeye's has been at this location for a very long time. Some call it the true original Popeye's in Miami. You can visit this location at anytime and can rest assure to have that great Popeye's taste each visit. Crispy chicken always ready to go. Although from time to time you may get an unfresh batch of fries, meaning they been sitting out ready to serve for a bit. The employees seem friendly and the entire Team seem to work the drive through quick and efficient. If you see a line in the drive through, don't worry; it moves quick. The neighborhood might not seem like a cozy place but don't judge a book by its cover. It's not as bad from what it may seem. There are always police officers visiting this location to take out. It's no different than that of any other fast food spot. However, this Popeye's need to have more lights within its parking lot and drive through as it is too dark considering they are a commercial fast food restaurant.
