Big shout out to the bar manager, TJ, for giving us such a hard time during our friend’s wedding reception. It was a private event with a prepaid drink package and the bartenders hadn’t asked for anyone’s ID for most of the evening so my husband thought it would be okay to show a picture of his if needed since he didn’t have his wallet at that time. When he tried to order a beer with his drink ticket, they refused serving him without a physical ID. This was very surprising because this did not happen to anyone else in our group. To test the inconsistency, I went over and ordered the same beer; they didn’t ask for my ID and proceeded to tell me it was not necessary when I offered to show them. (I’m a small 25 year old woman so I’m always asked… he is almost 30 and rarely gets carded) Normally it wouldn’t bother us, especially having worked in the service industry prior and knowing the laws, but they were clearly picking and choosing who they wanted to ID and serve.

When TJ saw my husband take a sip of my beer, he proceeded to take the glass from his hand without asking first and then told us he’d be kicked out if he was seen holding another drink. Keep in mind, my husband hadn’t had any alcohol before this moment and was acting respectfully so we were taken back by the rudeness of the manager. When we asked why he was not taking anyone else’s drink, he said, “that’s just how it goes” and walked away. For the rest of the event, he ignored us and made the environment feel very tense.

Long story short, the manager made the situation much more stressful than it needed to be and I would not recommend reserving a private event if TJ...

Came here for adult fermented beverages.

The theming here is great as far as their branding. The environment, however, is kind of strange for night time. At 9p, the place was exceedingly bright with sterile flourescents.

Beer was okay with the best character coming in on the Winter Bock Party. The berry sour was good. The pumpkin was not good. Adding orange bitters may not have been a great idea as it adds a very synthetic aftertaste to an otherwise fairly good beer.

The service was nice enough, but things moved pretty slowly and it was altogether okay.

For lighting I recommend they get some custom globes made of their logo and cut the flourescents off at night, leaving the track lights and maybe some custom fixtures.

For beers I recommend to just keep at it. Whoever is running it worked so hard on the branding, but really it's simple at a small sun-like icon. Put that same method in the brews - simple, modern, solid.

I'd like to go back because the bock was good and their theming was good. Maybe I'll give their menu a view in a few months. For right now it was okay for the drinks. I'll re-eval my rating in the future if subsequent visit(s)...

Absolutely great. It's got beer, it's got coffee, it's got cocktails and some snacks.

We're from out of town and got to experience this place both as a night brewery and a morning coffee spot. At night the atmosphere was fun and kid friendly especially outside seating since there was places for the adults to relax and the kids to run in the field. But we also did not feel out of place as adults only in the slightest. In the morning it was still a cozy place to grab a latte flight and relax. Especially outside on the very, very large patio.

The beers and coffees were well made and very very enjoyable and this is coming from a beer and coffee snob. And the staff was absolutely amazing. So friendly and really took care of us.

Overall, this is a fun and relaxed place for drinks of all kinds with or without the...

On a Saturday at about 5pm in CFB season, was fairly busy, even though the Buckeyes played at noon that day. They don't have a kitchen but regularly have food trucks. And apparently they will make you a giant pretzel which I might return to sample in the future. Alas, I'm primarily a stout drinker, and their stouts were kind of "meh" to my tastes. While I don't regularly drink IPAs, their Theorem IPA was pretty good. So says the stout drinker, so make of that what you will. They also have Der Dutchman donuts, but what was in the display case at 5pm seemed undersized relative to the Der Dutchman donuts I remember. Overall, will probably return, but not quite as exciting as I was hoping for.

I'm becoming a big fan of the family-friendly coffee shop/brewery combo. Standardized does a great job of executing the concept. Employees that care, great offerings, family friendly environment, lots of seating options, pet friendly... I know it isn't for everyone, but I'm a fan. Coffee is solid (One Line - Columbus roaster), Der Dutchman Donuts are always the best and the vibe is low stress and relaxing. Can get busy and loud at times, so not a place to study necessarily. But a great hangout environment!
