Ive been craving your nachos for 3 days and tonight my husband and i went there for dinner around 6.45 and got a seat right away. My husband gets his usual seafood plate combo and after waiting more than 45 minutes got the platter and mine was the southwest chix with baked potato. As usual his was nice n hot evan the fries which was great so i put the melted butter patties on my potato and sour cream that was also watery. I cut into the chix n it was not evan room temp. It was downright cold. Ive had this ussue many times b4 with the chix dinners and maybe said something a few times to let them know it wasnt warm. When it comes back its very very dry and still not hot. So this time i decided to tell the server n have her bring me a menu and i seen how busy she was and thought it would take wayyyy to long to make something different. I decided to leave there hungry! I asked for a smaller order of nachos the server informed me they dont have that anymore with the new menu. I didnt see a new menu. !!?? I was confused but like i said she was very busy and by the way very kind and apologetic. I will probably come back but not for a good 6 monthes or a year like this time. (Although that didnt work either) i dont get it, chix is an easy cook what is wrong with the cooks there they cant cook a piece of chix. This has happened to me almost every time i go to Herrick s. I think someone should open a decent restaurant in the athol- orange area. %95 of the time the seafood dishes are fabulous but the other stuff on the menu is so so and i reallt like going there for dinner..i hope that next time if something like this happens the server sends a manager over. She offered me a dessert!!! I was hungry. Not for dessert. !!! I hope you do read this and fix this problem because i really do enjoy your menu but i want my food hot not cold or room temp n not dried out because it was under heat lamp so long. Hopefully it will get better but its been 6 years since i first tried your menu and nothing has changed yet... Please. Please. Please fix this so i can enjoy your delicious menu because i do love it when it...
Read moreWe've eaten at Herricks often over the past few years, and tonight was a total disaster. Our waitress took our order, which was simple. Three burgers, fries and three side salads. She brought us drinks promptly and then proceeded to spend most of the next 20 minutes sitting at an adjoining booth chatting with a couple, two people she obviously knew well. She got up once, went into the kitchen, and then sat back down with the couple. We waited for our salads, which never came. Finally, at the 25 minute mark, another two waitresses brought out our burgers. No fries and still no salads. At this point I was boiling, and if the meals had actually had fries included, I would have stayed calm and eaten the meals, although I sent the salads back since they usually are served before the burgers. But no fries. The waitress, by this time apparently aware that we were not happy about the situation, claimed that she "assumed" that our salads were in place of the fries, which makes no sense since we ordered fries AND salads. We left. At a time when Covid is killing restaurants, you'd think that every restaurant would do anything it could to attract and hold on to customers. Tonight Herricks lost a regular. I wish I could have offered a comment on the food but incompetent service took away my family's opportunity to enjoy...
Read morePlace was so cute!!! Not as bar like as I pictured, which is nice. It's a classic family restaurant with a big bar area; I haven't enjoyed an ambiance like that for ages! The food was amaaaazinng. The mozzarella sticks weren't greasy AT ALL. My husband got the Memphis burger and loved it, especially the correct amount of pickles on it! And I had the pulled pork sandwich which was bomb!!!! The crispy bun seriously made this the best pulled pork I've ever had. Saved the sandwich from being a mush ball and adding some texture. The beer was delicious and the waitress was super sweet (long blonde hair, younger girl, don't remember the name) but sweet kid. My only complaint was the lack of sound. We went in early (4:30/5) on Monday, and the place was pretty empty (obviously, what do you expect that early on a Monday!) And I'm sure when the dinner rush is in full swing the lack of sound isn't noticable, but no radio or even sound on on a TV made it kind of uncomfortable, like you had to whisper. Just would suggest maybe turning on the sound to one of the sports games you have on just for a little back ground noise or a little radio. Otherwise, I have no complaints! Hopefully I'll be back in the area again and can try out the INSANE dessert menu! I was too full I couldn't even finish my...
