My wife and I were visiting friends in Gordonsville, and they took us to Patch Brewing Company. They had only been opened for about 3 months when we went there. Since they were still revovating their indoor space, we went into the outdoor canopied beer hall.
Very friendly people were there to servus beer and cider, and answer questions. I had a 4-beer flight that was decidedly dark. I especially loved the Stone In The Woods Brown Ale, and the Home Field Advantage Robust Porter. This last one is one of the finest porters I've had. My wife's flight was decidedly more balanced. She said that the Home Run Hefeweizen was her beer of choice.
They have an outdoor children's play area, and a little league baseball field (current or former, I'm not sure) to let kids and dogs run and play. Patch does not offer food, but does allow food to be broght in from outside. They also said that they are planning to have food trucks on Friday/Saturday/Sundays really soon. Almost as if on cue, when we finished our beers, the rain came so we took our leave. Before we left, I did stop back in and purdchase a 4-pack of Home Field Advantage in cans. I cannot wait for next spring when the indoor beer hall is open. We very much enjoyed our stop at Patch...
Read moreLet me start by saying I did not have food. I went to try the beer and check out the atmosphere. It's a large location with lots of seating options. Inside, outside, shade and sun. There is also something for everyone. Darts, board games, arcade games all inside. There are two inside locations. There is a stage for a band. A small fenced in dog area. A playground, a field, and fire pits. It looked like you could bring your own food. There is mostly no smoking areas so if you like a cigar with your beer you need to walk away from where most of the patrons are. It's a very family friendly environment. Family focused in some ways. Three guy band sounded great. Music was an unexpected surprise. Super excited to see they sold my favorite cider, normally found at the farmers market. Food looked good. Employees were nice. Very relaxing atmosphere. I went during the day...
Read moreI had an absolute blast at this cozy, local brewery on a chilly, rainy Saturday. Despite the weather, the place was buzzing with energy and excitement. I was thrilled to find a plethora of card games and arcade games to keep me entertained while sipping on some of the best craft beer, ciders, and wines around. To top it off, the live music by the talented Josh Davidson was absolutely electric - he had the crowd on their feet the whole time!
As if that wasn't enough, the food was simply mouth-watering. I treated myself to a brunch burger paired with fries and the signature patch sauce, and let me tell you, it was out of this world! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and really added to the overall fantastic experience. If you're looking for a fun, lively spot with great food, drinks, and music, this local neighborhood brewery is an...
