I gave this Pizza Hut three weeks notice of a birthday party to be held at this location. I had spoken with them on multiple occasions about what pizzas and drinks were being ordered, clarifying the time of the party and ensuring that a portion of the dine in section would be reserved for us. Upon arrival, 15 minutes prior to the start of the party, the dine in section was not reserved for us and two tables were occupied by other patrons who had yet to be served, let alone order. As guests arrived, drink orders were slow to happen and plates and utensils were not readily available. Pizzas were overdone. I had to serve as the waitress to my party guests ensuring that they received plates and drinks. Several guests ate off of paper towels because plates were unavailable. The restaurant was severely understaffed and the two managers that were working did not offer any support to the rather young wait staff. Those two tables occupied by other patrons within the "reserved" section? When they finished their meal and left the restaurant, their tables were never bussed and cleaned for use by guests. Several patrons of the restaurant simply coming in for carry out orders were waiting 20-30 minutes in the restaurant because their orders were wrong and needed to be fixed.
The issues that I experienced should've been dealt with ahead of time. The space should've been reserved. Cups, ice, plates, utensils, pitchers, drinks should've been set aside ahead of time. Staff should've been prepared for the party guests (since they had advanced notice) in additon to every...
Read moreA Tuesday takeout pizza at 4pm. They weren't busy so it wasn't hard to provide good service. Our pizza was ready when we expected and the gentleman from the kitchen was fast and very polite to process my payment and get me on my way with our pizza.
The pizza itself was just OK. Not bad but not outstanding. We made a point to order a deep dish crust pizza because my wife and I remember decades ago getting the personal pan pizzas when they were all the rage, the crust was always so perfectly browned, buttery , crunchy and chewy all at the same time and we hadn't had any Pizza Hut in years because none are usually convenient to us. We were passing by this one on an unusual road trip so we wanted to try it.
Unfortunately that awesome crust seems to be no longer the case. It was OK, just not what we hoped for based on memory. We DID order a large. I dont know if that made any difference. And as with all pizza chains, the toppings were too light/little. Ever since the inflation of the past few years "shrinkflation" seems to be the norm with pizza toppings. You have to pay extra to get anywhere near generous toppings. This pizza was $32 as it was, Had we gone extra on the 5 toppings we chose it would have been closer to $40!
I think I will start looking at making pizza at home again. For the money we are all paying and the less and less we get for it these days, it appears to be the only way to get a pizza built the way I like it for any reasonable amount of money. This is not just Pizza Hut, its industry wide in my...
Read moreIt is sad when you try and support a business and the management makes that impossible. My wife andnI visited the Pizza Hut in Orange, Virginia a few weeks ago and ordered a large meat lovers pizza and breadsticks. We did ask for any specials or present any coupons. When we paid our bill the pizza rang up $15.99. Fast forward to tonight we attempt to order the same pizza and my wife mentioned the price we paid previously. The loud mouth manager proceeded to loudly tell us that they were a dine in facility and didn't honor the online deals. I explained how previously how we ordered before and was charged the $15.99 price without asking. Continuing her POOR customer and management skill she proceeds to the cash register and speak to me loudly across the restaurant tell me that I was incorrect and the price would be more that $22.00. We made the decision to leave without ordering and we will not ever be a dine in customer again at this location. It is really sad as we have been customers from back in the 1980's when the restaurant was always a packed and happy place. Go ahead and cater to people who you deliver to or pick up and apply your horrible customer skills to your dine in customers and it will be a matter of time and your restaurant will close as it should. I will take my dine in business to a local business who appreciates their customers.. Disappointed...
