I usually go here during the day for business meetings and it is always good. Prompt service and good food.
I returned tonight and brought my boyfriend after a long day of work on our house. We arrived at 9:20 and sat upstairs. There were several tables occupied outside, but inside was quiet and about 15% filled.
We each ordered a cocktail upon arriving. That cocktail arrived 25 minutes later. We at that time ordered an appetizer and another round to arrive at the same time.
As we were waiting our waitress came around with water. She spilled the pitcher all around the water glass and on my boyfriends phone. She kinda laughed and said, "whoa it's coming out all over" then proceeded to go to the 2 other tables up top to fill their waters. We assumed she would come back to wipe up the large puddle...but she did not.
When she brought our food she sat the plate half in the water and I had to ask the table to be wiped down. I also asked for extra napkins at that time. She came back, wiped the table and gave us napkins then left.
That was the last time we saw her...and we were there another 40 minutes. The unfortunate thing about her disappearance was she didn't leave silverware. I searched upstairs to find some, to no avail.
We ate our hummus with our hands (thank God for the napkins I asked for). At this point I was glad it was a date night and not a work lunch cause we were taking double dipping to a new level.
Our hope for another drink waned and soon all we wanted was the bill. After sitting 10 minutes with finished plates and drinks in front of us, we walked downstairs. There were 4 employees wandering the front and a bartender who was making a drink. I stood in the middle of the room for several minutes as people walked around me. The employees were not busy...they were talking to eachother and standing around. Finally, I loudly said, "I guess it's free"...to get someone's attention.
A friendly young lady came over from the hostess station and rang me up. $61 for 2 drinks and a hummus platter. She asked how things were and I told her, terrible - but it would have been way better with silverware. She said...oh we had to wash some. That was the most insane excuse I have ever heard.
I dont mind $12+ cocktails, but not when you get service like it's a dive bar. Definitely a different feel than I have experienced during the day and after tonight they won't be getting my personal money or my business's...
Read moreIt's been awhile since I had been to this establishment, & it will be awhile before I come back, if ever! First off let me say the service was very good, not great but very very good! Along with that the atmosphere was extremely nice, we gave it an easy 5 🌟! However I usually put the food itself as the most important thing when I go out to a restaurant for a meal! I can usually deal with poor service, it is fairly rampant, mostly because of ill management of proper training in food service imho...squirrel! We can also dine in less than the perfect atmosphere, although both services & atmosphere are very important, it tis the food that you will live with after your other encounter at any establishment. It's in that spirit that we offer such a harsh review today, you see WE value YOU & your hard earned money, if you have bags of itit will be easier to dine here btw!💰
Our order was a simple order of fries with a truffle sauce & a non alcoholic draft.
The fries were of the shoestring verity, easily identified as frozen. The sauce was in a metal shot glass, it was a nice truffle sauce, most likely 3rd party, acceptable, however we did have to request additional as it wasn't enough for the entire order of fries! The draft was one of the new microbrew non alcoholic & was also acceptable! This rants was PAID IN FULL when the bill arrived! $25.00+ Over $15,00 just for the small plate of fries, one of the very few things a vegetarian is able to order at this establishment! The one & only main menu item was an in house vegi-buger.
If you like to hang out drink, pay a lot for those drinks, good spot!
If you like to eat frozen food at a ridiculous markup thi$ i$ al$o the $pot!
Good restaurants are so difficult to find these days, NOT good food, but good restaurants! This is a good restaurant, it just doesn't have good food in my opinion, and it's greatly overpriced, my friends paid well over $40 each so a well over $100 dining experience for...
Read moreI have been here twice. One of friends who accompanied me have been here once almost every two months. So he is a regular customer. I enjoyed the food and service both times.
However, during most recent visit the service was terrible. So rude it almost felt like racism. Two out of four of us had physical IDs while the other two showed digital IDs for alcohol. Waitress was dumb enough to not consider the digital IDs which is valid everywhere in almost every pub, brewery, govt office we have been in past. When someone from staff saw that one of the alcoholic drink was passed to me from other corner of the table by a friend who didn't had his physical ID (he is 27 btw), they automatically assumed that we were sharing drinks with minors. The waiter without any communication came to our table and took all the drinks and left without uttering a word, no explanation nothing. Please tell me how can you provide a service like this when you do not even communicate with the customer why are you treating them in such a disrespectful way. If it were White people I don't think the waitress would have acted in such an arrogant and disrespectful manner. It was the most disgusting experience I ever had in a restaurant.
No matter what the confusion was with the waitress, she had the option to communicate openly but her actions were beyond rude. This is going to live in our memory for a long time. None of us is every visiting this place. Although the food and drinks were good the possibly racist and offensive behavior from that waitress is outrageous.
If someone from restaurant does see this post please take a note of how some of your staff treats brown /...
