Redland Cafe — Restaurant in Oregon

I've been coming here over 15 years. Cute country dining, love the style. The friendliness of the staff I've noticed is great and and nice until dinner time. Dinner time is a hit and miss. A younger gentleman is super friendly no matter how crazy things get, but couple of the women look so miserable and impatient. I called around 8pm for pick up, phone was picked up then just sat down on the counter. ( no hello, no greeting of any kind) just an answer then what it sounded like was slam down on the counter. I waited a couple minutes maybe they would say something like "hold" or anything. Nothing. I hung up. Called back, lines busy. I could be wrong, but felt like they tried to busy the phone line. I called the bar, they wanted me to call the other side again but she ended up taking my order. Yea they where kinda busy, parking lot wasn't full that's for sure, and still a lot of open seats at the bar and even more in the dinning area... ( maybe just short staffed?) The gal that gave me my order sounded unhappy and put off when I request a coke with my order. I felt bad, I felt like I ordered at a bad time. I tried to explain I called and she just cut me off saying " we are busy" I love going there, but I think I'll stay away as far as the evening goes. Maybe just do breakfast and lunch. I don't want to add to their stress of serving a lot of folks. I hope her...

Mom and I came in for breakfast (7/4/2025). There was one server in the restaurant and one in the bar, the morning of the 4th of July. It took about 15 minutes or so, of sitting at a dirty table, before a server greeted us with menus. Fortunately, Lexie was really sweet and provided good service, but we could certainly tell the restaurant needed a bit more support staff for the server and bartender.

In all honestly, the food was so bland, my mom wouldn't even eat her eggs and she usually really enjoys eggs. Personally, I felt as if the waffle batter came from a box, the salsa from a jar, and the breakfast burrito was subpar. A bit of made-from-scratch vibes and adding more spices and aromatics to the dishes would do wonders. Additionally, I'd love to return and witness more vegetarian and vegan options.

Mom said the coffee was delicious though! Regardless of all mentioned above, we had a lovely time and will certainly be back. We are very grateful for y'all!...

We went to Redland Cafe on 9/24/24 in the evening. We received the worst service that we have ever received. There was a young female server (I assume this is her first job), but she was constantly on her phone and ignoring everyone in restaurant. There was a couple that had sat down and was not getting served and ended up walking out. We sat down and waited 20 minutes before she came and got our drink order. I told her that we are ready to order food, and she told me that should would be right back. 15 minutes later she comes back to take our food order. Then there is a group of 6 teenage boys that take a table and she rushes over to them and takes their drink order and food order right away. The 6 boys end up getting their food before us. We needed a to go box so I go up to ask her if she can get one for us and she says that she will bring it to the table. She gets back on her phone and 10 minutes later she comes to the table...
