We spent two days at Maumee Bay Lodge, and had dinner here, our first night there. It had 4 1/2 stars on Google Maps, so I felt it a safe bet. For me, that rating seems well deserved. We arrived early, for dinner. Seating was immediate. We were seated in the dining area. I'm not certain if another area exists. There were people eating at the bar, which we passed on our way. Our wait person was friendly and knowledgeable. My wife and I ordered identical meals, batter fried Walleye, waffle cut French fries, and Key West vegetable medley. My wife had the house chardonnay. I am an IPA fan, so I asked for their selection. I was disappointed they had none I was interested in. So I went with Blue Moon, which is the only familiar name I knew, but not my favorite beer. The dining room is small, and the tables are tight, by my experience. We were seated next to a large, boisterous group, maybe 10 strong. Well, their experience soon became our experience, if you know what I mean. Finally, they left, to our relief. Then, a couple of women were seated at a small table adjacent to us. One of them had heavy perfume. So, in my mind, we went from noise pollution to air pollution. I know the owners have no control over that, and I don't ding them for it, but realize that is possible in a small, tightly configured room. The food arrived. Before me were two plates of food, so large, I knew I would not be able to eat it all. Two pieces of batter dipped and fried Walleye, a huge portion of waffle fries, and an enormous plate of fresh cooked vegetables. Everything was wonderful. I can confidently recommended The Oregon Inn.

Okay , let me first say I love this place and will probably to return , this review is based on my last visit . I called and ordered take out and picked it up 5:30 on Tuesday 11/2/21 . No issues whatsoever with my food and order , except my crabmeat and crackers appetizer. I normally would have got the artichoke dip but the crab dip ( states crab meat, cream cheese , seasonings etc for $10.99) sounded good to try . I look and it is actually chunks of imitation crab in a watery sauce . Had they not mislead by the menu posting saying crab meat , should say imitation crab or Krab meat are common listings as not to mislead the public . I tried contacting them directly to address this false advertisement, to no response , but I few people should not be mislead as I was for $10.99 for a scoop of fake crab .

The atmosphere was wonderful. It was comfortable and cozy and I loved all the artwork on the walls. It was very clean. The service was very prompt and our waitress was very warm and friendly. The presentation of the food was beautiful. Crab dip was a cold crab dip but very delightful. Warm rolls were great. French onion soup delicious. My husband got a salad very fresh and great variety of homemade dressings. The crab cakes were not what I expected. I am more of a traditional Maryland crab cake fan these were deep fried and not the flavor I was looking for. Mac and cheese was good. My husband didn't care for his prime rib, he said it was tough. The twice baked potato was very yummy. I tasted it. Over all this was a beautiful restaurant and we enjoyed the ambiance. I would go back and try the perch!
