Wichita Pub — Restaurant in Oregon

Met my fiance here for our first date a couple years ago, we had a blast made some great memories and looked forward to revisiting those experiences.

Last time we went the restaurant wasnt busy, plenty of open tables. The server we got took 10 minutes just to get us water because her friends were there, she called the other staff demeaning names in front us, then told us we were wasting her time trying to figure out what we would like to eat and she would come back...15 more minutes go by while we are waiting to order while she is busy chatting away with her friends at another table. She walked by us several times pointedly ignoring that we were ready to order and when she finally did give us the time of day it had almost been 30 minutes of us sitting down and only getting a glass of water... We were not rude, servers can have it hard and we are understanding of others. None of this was given to us though and it was clear WE were wasting her time being there.

We did not leave a tip and were promptly 86'd the next time we went there. No love loss there, I will not be returning if management deems that that is appropriate to treat polite, paying customers.

If you value your own time and would like have a good experience with friendly staff, Wichita is an excellent pub right down the road. Not Watkins. Have been frequenting this establishment for over 4 years, from when I moved to the area. At least several times per month. I am a 58 year old, single woman, who loves to find places where I feel comfortable sitting down by myself, with a book. When I walked in and sat down today, the waiter asked if I was having my usual drink. What I was brought, was not my usual drink. So this was, the first time, ever, I had a problem with my drink. Mind you, this drink costs about $9. They have always, made it worth my while to pay that much. And mind you, I've bartended many a time in my youth. I know a thing or two about drinks. When I told my server, he told me he would take care of it. I mentioned that Long Island Iced Teas had at least a splash of coke in them. He, almost immediately, brought back a drink, with a splash of coke. I tasted it. Still not the Long Island I usually get here, they just added a splash of coke. Can't fool an old bartender!! So I left money on the table to cover the cost, and a tip. And left. Usually, I hang out, have 2 drinks and some food. Not going back. Will find...

Was in there today and had the worst service ever. Being a server/bartender myself, if I was her I would have been fired. The server, Leilah, in the bar area, had no clean table. Heard her make a snide remark to the bartender about not getting a break when we sat down. Sorry that part of the restaurant business. Was in there for over 45 minutes and she cleared one table. Saw her drop food off at a table and throw the ticket at the people. Saw her running bar drinks over hot food in the window. Got our food and the burger was raw and cold in the middle, didn't want to wait for another half hour for food, she did take it off the ticket. They started to have a line for the bar seating area, still having 5 table that haven't been touched. Someone asked one of the servers that was working the non-bar area how long it would take to get a clean table, she said, I don't know, it's not my section. I'm sorry but who says that to a customer.
